This is finally fighting back and forth for the highest ranked Purphoros, God of the Forge deck on Tapped Out! I just wanted to thank all of you who have supported this deck throughout its existence.

I will continue to keep this deck "forged" to its fullest potential! As PBS always said, "this was made possible by viewers [and upvoters] like you." ;)

Purphoros approves of this message.

What do you think about adding Furnace of Rath?

That is a great card for decks like this, Maizena; however, it isn't quite how I'd run this deck. Definitely a card that fits in here somewhere, but just not a card for me, personally.

I appreciate your suggestion and for checking the deck out!

Have you though about Gauntlet of Might?

I have, Agent_Fire. I actually had Gauntlet of Power in here, but I refuse to run snow covered lands and I refuse even more to help my opponents out with mana, haha.

Plus, I definitely don't want to drop $200+ on Might just yet. ;)

I love the idea behind this deck, but im not sure if i wanna play commander. Do you have a 60 card deck with the same concept? I dont play competitive or anything. Just want a killer deck to beat my friends. And i love the goblin horde this deck can make. Any suggestions?

Jayy_blackk, I would recommend checking out: Infinite Goblins! (1072 Damage turn 4)

and Boom goes the goblin!.

Both are great goblin decks. Obviously, goblins can be budget, so cut and add what you like. Best of luck!

Normally I would suggest Norin the Wary for a Purphoros Deck, but because you are so goblin focused, it might be a tough fit (especially if you are playing 1v1 instead of multiplayer).

So instead I will suggest Chaos Warp. This deck seems pretty fast, so may not need it either, but I find it handy to deal with pesky enchantments

I really like Chaos Warp in mono-red because of that very reason, but like you said, I don't know if I could find a good enough spot for it.

I'll definitely keep that in mind if a spot even remotely becomes vacant, because being able to tell an enchantment "no" in mono-red is fantastic! Haha.

Thanks for the comment, Hybrow!

Thornbite Staff is good for infinite combos that need a sac outlet. I run it in my mono-black rat edh deck.

I feel it would be even better in your deck for you could use it with Krenko or Lightning Crafter.

Loving this list.

It might be too slow but have you considered Chancellor of the Forge? Also Furnace of Rath played carefully is actually amazing for closing games and I use it in my non-themed Purphoros build.

Finally they are not on theme so are mentioned last, but Capricious Efreet and War Elemental. They are two passed over rares that live to party with Purphoros!

TemnoTsar, Thornbite Staff is great with Krenko, but I've passed on it before for the sole fact that it does not do much on its own (without another combo piece). I try to have my combo pieces be strong cards on their own, but increasingly powerful in conjunction with other combo pieces.

Abres_Tenelles, thanks for the love, friend! I have stumbled across/been suggested both Chancellor of the Forge and Furnace of Rath before. The former is a great card, but by the time I get to play him I should be close to closing the game down already. The latter is fantastic. It works well for decks like mine; however, it isn't my personal taste. Nothing wrong with the card, just not my style!

I try to stray away from chaos cards, which makes Capricious Efreet a tough pick. And War Elemental was in my deck not too many revisions ago, but I decided to scrap him for more hoser cards (which was a tough cut...).

Thank you both for your comments and suggestions! I really appreciate it.

I like the deck a lot! Given your token creation, and I see you have Massive Raid in there - have you thought about Burn at the Stake as another possibility?I know you're trying to stay on the Goblin tribal - attacking as well as using Purphoros' static ability, but have you looked at Hostility to combo with any of your burn spells - which would then stack perfectly with Purphoros' ability? Get Hostility out, play Burn at the Stake and tap EVERYTHING, and kill the whole table at once. Even IF you didn't manage to kill everyone, you will now have a truck-ton of 3/1 Elementals to block til your next turn.

Thanks for the love! I've actually never seen Hostility before, haha. That's definitely an interesting card, thundering1! I don't know if I have enough burn spells to really maximize that in the deck, but nonetheless it's a cool card!

With Massive Raid, I actually just replaced Burn at the Stake with it about 2 weeks ago, haha. I actually think Burn at the Stake is more powerful, but I really wanted the instant speed that Massive Raid provided.

Again, thanks a ton for the comment and for showing me a neat new card, friend!

I love this deck. Its so broken especially if you get Purpheros and Krenko. Thanks for the awesome list!

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, BobbyTheNewbie! It means a lot!

And yeah, Krenko truly shines with Purph out...unfortunately, my playgroup knows that and spot removals/counters him 9/10 times! Hahaha.

What do you think about Thornbite Staff?

Krenko, Mob Boss + Thornbite Staff + Any Sack Outlet = Infinite goblins!

freakingShane says... #17

I've been recommended Thornbite Staff many times for that combo, but I've always turned it down for the fact that it really only does work with other cards.

All of my combo pieces thus far can pull a lot of weight on their own (e.g. Mana Echoes, or even Skirk Prospector) but unlock even more power in their respective combos. Thornbite Staff just doesn't pull enough weight on it's own, in my opinion.

I thank you for stopping by and leaving me your suggestion, Maizena!

I like this deck. Nicely put together and presented. +1

Can I get your thoughts on my Goblin-themed Grenzo deck? C'mon... Do it... You know you wanna...
