Correct AlmightyTentacle! Chandra's Spitfire gets buffed +3 for each trigger of damage per opponent. You are hitting both opponents with Purphoros, God of the Forge's ability 3 times so the spitfire would gain +9 for the first opponent, and another +9 for the second. You can see how this can get out of hand right? In the situation you mentioned above you can even maximize your value by playing the Spitfire after your commander and giving it haste (Hanweir Battlements) and then playing Hordeling Outburst for +24/0. That is very idealistic to pull off but you can get a sense of its power scaling and the ability to turn the tides of battle, especially with haste. I hope I was able to clarify things.

You can run multiplayer burn decks with 4 of those and it gets very bad very fast. I'm glad I could help, I think red is often underestimated when it can actually do unspeakable things to people. I would also try sleeving up a Pyroblast, Red Elemental Blast, and some Fork/Increasing Vengeance variants to compete with instant speed control and have a powerful tool in your sideboard. From the Ashes is most likely a one sided ramping Ruination that can hose multicolor EDH metas. Elemental Mastery can be a very cheesy combo with your commander by the way.

They were just some suggestions, I've played with some cutthroat people who are ok with that kind of stuff before and things get crazy. I forgot about Burning Wish haha.

I would recommend Shattering Spree HIGHLY over Vandalblast, and I can't stress enough have much better Spree is.

For starters, Vandalblast is good on turn 1, turn 5, and every turn after that, if you have nothing better to do. Shatter Spree is good turn 1, turn 2, turn 3, turn 4, turn 5, and anything lategame, considering you can put as much as you need into it. For example, paying 3 turn 5 and dropping a Dragon Fodder on the same turn, if that's the play you want to make.

Much more importantly, I've found that Spree stops control decks from abusing powerful artifacts. Even with counterspell backup, Spree can kill a Caged Sun or Chain Veil, because you can target each more than once and put 3-4-5 different copies of the same target on the stack; they can't counter all of them.

Great deck, +1

I can appreciate someone who chronicles all the updates for a deck, good job. Since this deck is so popular have you thought about creating a more detailed description of the interactions and gameplay, a primer of sorts? I like the background image a lot, good choice.

I haven't looked over all the updates or forum posts so my suggestion my have already been used and cut. My suggestion is Squee, Goblin Nabob. Squee is a Goblin who's good with Skullclamp, sac outlets and wheels. He's a recastable creature to do damage with Purphorus.

AlmightyTentacle, do you think there is room in this deck for Wasteland and/or Strip Mine? You have Shivan Harvest which is very strong with your goblin tokens but these cards would make the non-basic destruction more consistent in case you don't draw the harvest. If you had Strip Mine, Wasteland, Shivan Harvest, as well as a Burning Wished Ruination you'd have a package of some sort.

Ankh of Mishra is also a cheaper version of Zo-Zu the Punisher that doesn't die to your burn wipes. You could even find room for both if you want Zo-Zu for devotion.

Hi, multimedia

Thx for comments, suggestion and upvote!

Primer - the idea of creating a more detailed description of the interactions and gameplay - Primer, has long been wandering in my head. Since English is not my native language it will require me a lot of free time which I do not have at that moment. Work and family on the first place, MTG and other my hobby on second. But someday in the not too distant future, I will find time to create it.

Hi,Perfect_Phyrexia

Thx again for all your suggestions!

  • Strip Mine & Wasteland - I dont quite sure that deck need more land hate cards and coloress non basic lands in it, I was happy enough with Shivan Harvest.

  • Ankh of Mishra - was in deck on early stages but was cut. Zo-Zu the Punisher much better imho. 1st - devotion. 2nd - he is goblin. 3rd - being a creature is not a minus it is a plus, even with all burn board wipes.

Hey, so just comparing my paper list to yours and it's pretty similar but I have some suggestions:

Haste is incredibly important in my experience and I have found Anger isn't nearly as good as Mass Hysteria. I've never regretted adding or playing it. Urabrask the Hidden is a baller as well.

Another really strong card is Cloudstone Curio, this card is usually what gets me over the hump and I think is a better inclusion than Tempt with Vengeance. For 3 mana it basically gives your token producers buyback and generates a lot of value over the course of a game.

Changeling Berserker has won a game or two for me as well, that champion trigger is sweet for double Krenko taps etc.

I didn't shell out the dough for Scrying Sheets and snow mountains but some utility lands you might also consider are Spawning Bed, Throne of the High City, Winding Canyons and/or Endless Sands.

Last thing - What do you think of Shifting Shadow? I slipped it in my list but haven't had a chance to play it, seems pretty great though.

Woops, forgot to add one more: Divergent Transformations doubles as instant speed removal or gas when you need it, not bad for 4 mana.

Hi, 99ghosts

Thx for comment and upvote mate! :-)

Hi, dlamars

Thx for all your suggestions!

Lets start:

  • Mass Hysteria - was in deck before and was cut. Sometimes give haste to my opponents wasnt so good idea, especialy when one of them play mostly Zur the Enchanter deck and 2nd one green aggro deck with elf combos.

  • Urabrask the Hidden - too high cmc and as any creature can be wiped easily from the field.

  • Anger - with all sac outlets, burn & wheel spells deck have, it can be easily put in graveyard and what is important it is not so easy to remove it from there.

  • Cloudstone Curio - good card but not here. I can count only 5 cards with wich it can play good enough in current deck build.

  • Tempt with Vengeance - this one won me so many games, so cut it out would just be an unforgivable mistake.

  • Changeling Berserker - too situative. To double tap Krenko, I assume you need: 1st sac outlet to remove Berserker. 2nd haste engine to be able to tap Krenko 2nd time. This is too much to ask imho.

  • Throne of the High City - is only one land I can consider to add from all lands you mentioned above, but still dont qute sure about it.

  • Shifting Shadow - can be nice especialy in decks full of high cmc creatures, but I dont think it be really effective here. Plus it is nombo with Norin the Wary.

  • Divergent Transformations - I dont test this one, but have some game experience with close enough spell Indomitable Creativity and I wasnt to happy with how it plays. But still I will consider to add Divergent Transformations and give it a try in the future.
