Judgement Comes From the Sky

Have you ever been in a game and just though, "These opponents deserve to be judged and executed for their sins!" ...No? That's just me? Well anyway, this deck should be interesting to you anyway. Avacyn is not just a Standard powerhouse, but an amazing EDH general as well. The Archangel provides a Boros general that encourages a game plan that is more than just running into the red zone. This deck is essentially an aggro-control deck, which can control the board with sweepers until you suit up Avacyn and bring castigation to your opponents.

Avacyn is good at punishing your opponents for murdering her subjects, but sometimes you need to bring that punishment earlier than normal. Sure your opponents haven't done anything, but they are called "opponents" for a reason. For this reason, we have both sacrifice outlets (Goblin Bombardment) and creatures that sacrifice themselves (Shard Phoenix).
Sometimes when Avacyn gets a bit peeved, we need her to have a therapy to settle down back to her normal self. To this end, we have a few blink cards like Cloudshift, Eldrazi Displacer, and the new Acrobatic Maneuver.
Now 3 damage to everything will many times be a huge effect on the board. However, in EDh this amount of damage is almost never enough to get rid of most important creatures. Cards like Furnace of Rath or card:Gratitous Violence help increase the amount of damage dealt with this ability. Cards like card:Gorgon's Flail or Basilisk Collar can make any amount of damage enough. Basilisk Collar intersects with our next category of equipment like Loxodon Warhammer. These lifelink-granting equipments can gain you insane amounts of life when Avacyn flips.

I hope this deck tech convinced you to try the deck out for yourself or inspired your inner brewer. I would appreciate any feedback on the deck, and suggestions on cuts or additions. Hopefully you have plenty of fun trying out the deck, and make sure to avoid any Anguished Unmaking!
