Sideboard

My take on Splendid Reclamation and how to break a seemingly 'fair' card.

You may have noticed 100 cards in the mainboard. This is because it increases the size of our toolbox, and allows us to play previously unviable cards without worrying about drawing dead cards. The other main reason is that it gives us enough fetchable targets. When I was experimenting with a 60 card list, I too often had no fetch targets halfway through comboing off. I found the same with 80 cards, but 100 cards feels pretty strong.

Ideally, we have either Hedron Crab or Retreat to Hagra on the field. If we have an Amulet of Vigor, it's even better for us. Use Scapeshift for however many fetchlands, which is 2 triggers, one from fetchland entry, and one from the fetched land. Then use Splendid Reclamation to get all of those sacrificed lands and past fetchlands back from the grave, yielding even more triggers. A large portion of the time, we will have 20-25+ triggers, which in nearly all circumstances will win us the game. For example, 2 fetchlands in grave from past turns, and 5 lands on the field. Scapeshift for 5 lands, get 5 fetches. Thats 5 triggers total. Crack the fetches, go to 10 triggers. Use Splendid Reclamation, get back 7 fetches, 7 more triggers, 17 total. Crack all the fetches, go to 24 triggers.

CARD BREAKDOWN

Scapeshift Combo piece, paired with Splendid Reclamation creates an insane number of landfall triggers.

Splendid Reclamation Once again one of the main cards in the combo, together with Scapeshift.

Amulet of Vigor Efficiently speeds up our tempo, especially when combined with Scapeshift, allowing lands to enter untapped, so we can continue to cast. When multiple amulets come out, things start getting crazy...

Bring to Light Search. For. Any. Card. Sounds good. Most common targets will be Splendid Reclamation, Scapeshift and Gifts Ungiven.

Gifts Ungiven Allows us to find combo fuel. This card can be very unfair. By choosing Bring to Light, Snapcaster Mage, and a Combo Piece, we always gain access to the combo piece. We can also chain Gifts Ungiven's together, making for some awfully solid turns when Amulet of Vigor is on the field. Example Gifts Targets: Snapcaster Mage, Gifts Ungiven, Scapeshift, Splendid Reclamation.

Bring to Light, Scapeshift, Snapcaster Mage, Damnation.

Hedron Crab We'll just simply use this and a ton of landfall triggers to mill our opponents out. With more than 1 Hedron Crab, thats pretty fast. Most of the time we'll have combo by T4/T5, and by that time there will most likely be around 48 cards in their deck. We need 16 landfall triggers to mill them out, which is very easy with fetches and our combo.

Retreat to Hagra Keeps us alive when we don't have combo, and when we do, straight up win.

Search for Tomorrow Ramp.

Farseek More ramp.

Sakura-Tribe Elder Even more ramp.

Remand Since it takes a fair while to get to our combo, we need to make sure that it takes the same or longer for our opponents to get to their win condition. With Remand, it allows us to slow all of that down, protect our assets (Retreat to Hagra, Hedron Crab, other irreplaceable stuff) and at least have some draw power.

Assassin's Trophy Really solid, versatile removal.

Thoughtseize/Inquisition of Kozilek Hand disruption, cery useful for picking off counter spells and other possible spanners in the works.

Damnation Things can get out of hand if the combo is taking a while to setup.

Snapcaster Mage Highly effective Gifts Ungiven target, allows an extra usage of Splendid Reclamation, Scapeshift, Gifts Ungiven etc.

Hope you like it!
