Commander / EDH BRG (Jund) Combo Tokens

Dragon-Marti

Le silly me walks in the LGS and wants to build a Commander deck because she lieks the format but doesn't have the cards nor the knowledge for deckbuilding and is promptly directed to buy one of the latest Commander precons. And lo and behold, my eyes fall on the giant shiny dragon, and the colors are the ones I know and like from my humble expirience. This is how I my wonderful firendship with this beautiful beast began.

Prossh has spent quite some time playing with different strategies, from budget voltron with Fireshrieker s and the likes, to a weird dragon-tribal and tokens. Eventually I upped my game as I started getting more and more valuable cards in my possession and eventually boosted my baby to the top of the Food Chain . Sometimes I get angry with him for not giving me lands and I dismantle him, but I always come back to him. He even got altered with a full art.

Here is my take on the best Jund general.

Aside from the obvious combos, the deck can be played slower, if the playgroup is more casual and you don't always have to go infinte. More fair wincons include Triumph of the Hordes , Tainted Strike and Shared Animosity . The reason I consider them fair is that the first two requre attacks and the last requires a board, which people are usually weary of giving you.

As per the Update of 5.11.2019 this deck is abandoning the pretense of being casual. It is my only Competative deck and I'm invested into fine tuning it. I am also bad formating in this site.

Updates Add

So, Prossh's been my odlest surviving deck so far. Eventually half of my playgroup turned competative and I finally had the chance the fine-tune it.

Most Prossh decks are very similar, with the whole Food Chain + something combo, but there are other fun things to do with the deck. Because of the nature of my oponents, I've tecked specifically against blue and interrupts:

Counter control

Vexing Shusher- a vastly underestimated card imo. Has been a stellar performer for me.

Red Elemental Blast and Pyroblast- staples as old as the universe. Fast and efficient, they get the job done.

City of Solitude- this plays not only against blue, but green and black or any other color that has aggressive removal. Haven't had the chance to test it out yet.

Veil of Summer- an improved Autumn's Veil, this one is pretty self explanatory.

Draw

Draw is power, and we have explosive draw engines.

God-Eternal Bontu- amazing card. Well worth the 5 mana, she can sack herself and you can draw her from your deck because of her ability to go 3rd from the top, making her a relaible, repeatable draw engine.

Korvold, Fae-Cursed King- his ability is static, so I can draw when I feel like it. He can also help me kill off my own Prossh if I need to.

Disciple of Bolas- with the inclusion of so many card that drain my life, this guy has pulled out of the gutter. Get a big Prossh and then sac him for the sweet draw and life-gain.

Sylvan Library- very powerful. It generates hate early in the game and proves its worth if not dealt with asap.

Necropotence- this one is currently out. I keep bringing it in and then out and I am not sure if I need it or not. I've found myself drawing 20 cards and not a single tutor or additional draw engine in sight, which can be very unnerving.

Fecundity- I keep circling back to this, but always hold back, because it helps my opponents as well. If I end up against another creature heavy deck, this might help them far more than me.

Tutors

Vampiric Tutor- is there really any question? Very powerful at any point of the game.

Demonic Tutor- on par as the first one, this delivers the card in my hand at the cost of speed and one more mana.

Diabolic Edict- similar to Demonic tutor, this can help me kill off my Prossh or make use of spare resources like Kobolds.

Sidisi, Undead Vizier- a personal favorite of mine, being a creature tutor and one that can exploit either herself or another creature. Gets the job done, and gets around certain counters.

Combos

I don't think I'll be vastly improving or expanding already known combos, but I think they should be listed.

Mana Echoes + Phyrexian Altar = Inf mana

Parallel Lives / Doubling Season + Phyrexian Altar = inf mana

Parallel Lives / Doubling Season + mass Haste + card:Cryptolith Rights= inf mana (this one is more unreliable that the rest. I typically use it to make use of my tokens next turn before sacing them)

Phyrexian Altar + Ashnod's Altar= inf mana

Pitiless Plunderer + Ashnod's Altar / Phyrexian Altar = inf mana

Pitiless Plunderer + Doubling Season = Inf mana

Pitiless Plunderer + Mana Echoes = inf mana

Prossh + Food Chain= inf mana

Get a kill condition like Purphoros, God of the Forge, Zulaport Cutthroat, Blood Artist, Falkenrath Noble, Mayhem Devil or Goblin Bombardment and you are good to go. You can also kill people the good ol' fashioned way with Craterhoof Behemoth and Tainted Strike
