I built this deck because of my urge to use two cards in particular, Obelisk of Alara and Maelstrom Nexus. I knew I'd never really manage to fit them into a 60-card deck, so I decided to build a 5-color Commander deck. I grabbed Progenitus to be the general, and set about building a deck that could reliably cast him and take advantage of its own ability to have all 5 colors available at will.
There's a good amount of color fixing/acceleration, with plenty of artifacts and creatures that can make all five colors. The creatures in the deck that aren't mana creatures are a combination of creatures that use WUBRG to do cool things, creatures that just generally useful to have around, and creatures that are absolutely terrifying to see across the table. Some of them are a combination of all three.
The other spells are all just useful stuff. Removal, tutoring, card draw, that sort of thing. I was sure to include a few "tuck" effects to get rid of annoying or dangerous opposing generals.
