With Aether Revolt being released, there have been a few cards that I thought could possibly use in this deck:
-
Shock: 2 damage for seems pretty good, I don't really think it can replace Lightning Strike though.
-
Invigorated Rampage: Seems like a good way to get in damage, and the two modes can be useful if going wide.
-
Precise Strike: Would definitely use if it were a cantrip, but it's a card to consider for now.
-
Hungry Flames: It's a Lightning Strike and a Shock in one, seems pretty good.
Thanks for the upvote CinnaToastKrunch! Glad you like the list. :)

You're welcome! A friend of mine started with fate reforged just as me and a lot of the cards we have are nkw usable thanks to frontier! And he wanted to run Izzet! He fell in love with this deck.

Temple of Epiphany seems like a good thing to put in the upgrade list.
Speaking of which, where is the upgrade list?

Midn8 Temple of Epiphany is not Frontier legal, sadly. I didn't include an upgrade list because other than the fetchlands and Spirebluff Canal, there isn't much to upgrade. Correct me if I'm wrong if I possibly missed anything noteworthy that I excluded due to budget.
Also, as you mentioned upgrades, should I add variants, such as Jeskai, Temur and Grixis?
Thanks for the input and upvote!

I think because this is a primer, you might want to build those variations and link them. Apparently I messed up too, because I thought Theros came after M15. My bad.

Oh, I forgot to add that fetchlands are worse than evolving wilds in this deck, unless you really, REALLY need to delve treasure cruise.

Midn8 Okay, I'll work on adding the variations section in a bit. Makes sense, with Scalding Tarn not being Frontier-legal. Misconceptions always happen, so it's no biggie. :)

Yeah, webpage can't be displayed.. I'll do what's best in my abilities to write out the descriptions of what the other variations of the deck provide, and then hopefully the link works.

I know this is a Frontier deck and should keep the thread between those navigational beacons but this reminds me a lot of the Blistercoil Weird decks from a while back. I may use it as fun splice fodder if you don'don't mind.
