Tymna the Weaver


This card is pretty awesome, at CMC 3 she grants us a card for each opponent is dealt combat damage this turn. She is similar to Dark Confidant and Phyrexian Arena but at the same time she has lifelink, helping us to stay high of life.

A good synergy is:

Tymna the Weaver + Bitterblossom

Turn 2 Bitterblossom and turn 3 Tymna the Weaver is an insane card-draw engine, drawing cards each turn attacking with flying tokens. Moreover the great number of flying creatures in the deck help us to draw extra cards abusing the commander ability.

Kraum, Ludevic's Opus


The other partner commander of the deck. At first sight he could look useless or "just for the access to ", but this guy is a key card of the deck. Flying and Haste grants him to be a perfect beater lategame, helping us to draw with Tymna the Weaver and able to swing face to our opponents, equipments such as

speed up the process.

Cards Analysis

Terminate : Nice creature removal, it hits any kind of creature for CMC 2. Nothing else.

Swords to Plowshares : Best EDH creature removal in my opinion, it exiles at only CMC 1 and the only drawback it has is gain our opponent life, totally worth it.

Path to Exile : I run this card even if many commander players dislike Path in EDH simply because it gives our opponent a tapped land, helping him to recast his commander. But I run Path for the same reason of Swords to Plowshares : exile creature at CMC 1 and my experience teaches me that exiling opponent pieces is really good in EDH, expecially in multiplayer where there are tons of graveyard-based decks. Pay attention to play this card beacuse a free land drop to our opponent helps him against our tax counters ( Mana Leak , Miscalculation ).

Lightning Bolt : A CMC 1 removal that can remove a any number of creatures between turn 1-3 and lategame we can use it face.

Lightning Helix : A Lightning Bolt with CMC+1 but it gives us 3 life, really good in this deck because running fetchland and other painful cards like Toxic Deluge we fast go down of life.

Kolaghan's Command : Usefull removal, it hits creatures, artifacts, he grants us creature recursion and opponent hand destruction. Anithing we can ask to an CMC 3 instant.

Vindicate : The removal, it hits anything, really really good. The negative aspect is that it is sorcery and it only destroys, infact sometimes Anguished Unmaking is strictly better, but destroying a land to our opponent when they need a specific color or they have a problematic land such as Cavern of Souls we is too good to don't run this card.

Anguished Unmaking : Exile a nonland permanent at the cost of 3 life, good card expecially for his instant speed.

Council's Judgment : White staple of the format, exiling at least one nonland permanent we don't control to a max of 4, it depends on our opponents votes.

Fatal Push : CMC 1 removals are always well-accepted moreover if you run 10 fetchlands in the deck, but this time i decide to cut Fatal Push because white gives to me Path to Exile and Swords to Plowshares and i prefer Terminate to remove any kind of creature ( The Mimeoplasm and Consecrated Sphinx for example).

Dreadbore : i prefer to run Terminate for instant speed.

Hero's Downfall : CMC 3 is too high for a creature/walker removal, the 3 mana removal slots are occupied by better cards ( Vindicate , Anguished Unmaking and Council's Judgment ).

Dismember : This card is tempting me because at 1 colorless mana an 4 life we can hit indestructible creatures at instant speed. This could be one of the 100.

Unexpectedly Absent : Good tempo card but too much mana intensive.

Supreme Verdict : Uncounterable wrath, most of the time a Wrath of God with a specific and nothing else, but against blue aggro decks like Prime Speaker Zegana or Edric, Spymaster of Trest decks this card makes the difference.

Wrath of God : Classic wrath spell, 4 mana, clear the board. Promoted.

Toxic Deluge : CMC 3 wrath spell that can deal with indestructible creatures. do you need anything else?

Fire Covenant : This card looks like a more painful Toxic Deluge but at instant speed we can remove our opponents board for only 3 mana, insane!

Fiery Confluence : Flexible board wipe that can clear the board and remove annoying artifacts at the same time and Sometimes lategame 6 damages face to our opponents are so sweet. I really love this card since it was printed, I think it is an auto-include in every control deck that has access to red.

Anger of the Gods : 3 damage to all creatures are good in early-middle game, expecially if the creatures are exiled when they die. Better than the other 3 mana board wipes for the exile effect.

Cyclonic Rift : Not a real board wipe but a heavy bounce spell that can be used early game to bounce dangerous permanents or lategame to bounce all opponents' permanents to saving our life or to swing face with all of our army of flying men. One of the best cards in the format.

Damnation : Black card:Wrath of Gods. I prefered the white one because i use more than .

Earthquake / Rolling Earthquake : My old builds contained this cards but i'm arrived to the conclusion that they are more mana intensive than other board wipes like Anger of the Gods and Radiant Flames and what i'm searching for this cards is low CMC to have a fast response against aggro decks.

Thoughtseize : Best discard spell printed so far! At the cost of 2 life (irrilevant in multiplayer commander) we can look at our opponent's hand and choose any one nonland card to discard. Turn 1 Thoughtseize hurts a lot.

Inquisition of Kozilek : The little brother of Thoughtseize but as good as it even if it can only hits CMC 3 or lower cards from opponent hand.

Duress : The weakest one, but a lot of decks have annoying non creatures. Good enough to be included.

Mind Twist : This card can be a win condition against control or a terrible topdeck against aggro, but anyway it's a useful card.

Hymn to Tourach : This cargd is simply amazing, 2 mana for 2 cards from opponent hand. I decided to cut this because isn't good for this deck and moreover we can't decided wich cards will be discarded.

Distress : CMC 2 Thoughtseize without losing life, too much mana and doesn't help.
