Atogs are small creatures known for their insatiable appetites and unusual diets. Atogs come in a very wide variety of forms, but most uniformly possess a humanoid shape, a reptilian or amphibian appearance, bulging eyes, and enormous toothy mouths. Some bear a slight resemblance to goblins. Atogs possess a glimmer of sentience, but do not seem to have a society as such. The first creature to bear the type was Atog in Antiquities.

The word "atog" is an anagram of "goat", another creature humorously noted for its tendency to eat metallic objects.

Though found on several planes throughout the Multiverse, atogs appear to be most common on the world of Dominaria, where they are scattered across several continents. Atogs were first seen in the continent of Terisiare at the time of the Brothers' War, where they wreaked havoc on the weapons employed by the powerful artificers of the era, though the largest variety and concentration of atogs was in Otaria, where they flourished as scavengers in the wake of the Phyrexian Invasion. Most atogs are scavengers, with the power to gain strength and sustenance from certain substances.

There are only three five color tribes in MTG: Slivers, Elementals and Atogs. The first one is known to be powerful, but a lot of players hate it for this reason. It is really hard to play with experienced players, because you are going to be the first target, and it is boring to play with new players because it will be too much easy to kill them. So the only other tribal choice in five colors is Atogs.

Also, there may be the price tag. As of now, buying all the existing Atogs can be done for less than 5$, compared to the the massive amount of money you need to spend to get a copy of Sliver Overlord, Sliver Queen, Sliver Legion and all the other "staple" slivers that can go up to 10$ each.

Elementals, with Horde of Notions, have access to a couple good cards at a low price also, but I feel that the only strategy is to have ETB effects and abuse them through graveyard recursion, and I wanted something fun and different. Also, my little brother has an elemental deck already, and I did not wanted to build only a straight upgrade of it, I wanted something different.

As said before, this deck will not be the most competitive deck ever built, but it is for sure let you have a good time with your friends: a lot of combos, but not too powerful, creatures that can attack for a lot of damage, a fun tribe, crazy mechanics and interactions... A lot of fun for everyone!
In my opinion, a deck needs more than one win condition to be consistent and win you more games as people will get use to it. That is why I have found several strategies to make this deck win.
- Aluren + Athreos, God of Passage + Atogatog /Aluren + Atogatog + Enduring Renewal allow you to sacrifice your Atogs an infinite amount of times. You will sacrifice them, then they are returned to your hand and you can dump them for free (Aluren + Athreos, God of Passage /Aluren + Enduring Renewal ), then you can restart an infinite amount of times to get an infinite/infinite creature.
- Atogatog + Necratog is one of the strong interactions between Atogs. You can boost your Atogs, then sacrifice them all to Atogatog to make it stronger, then exile all of your atogs from your graveyard and ascrifice Necratog to your commander to make it even stronger.
- Aura Thief + Enchanted Evening will let you gain control of everything on the field. This should greatly help you win the game!
- Foratog + Prismatic Omen allows you to give your Foratog +2/+2 for each land you control right before an alpha strike. Do this only if you are sure to hit, else you will loose all your lands.
- Foratog + Realmwright work togheter a little bit as the combo with Prismatic Omen. You only have to choose "Forest", and you should be good to get a super strong Atog.
- Hellkite Tyrant + Mycosynth Lattice will let you steal everything your opponent controls. It can also let you win the game easily.

I really want to build this deck IRL, but the manabase is far too expensive for me. Here are the replacements I am doing:
