pie chart Post RtR Grixis

This is my first go at a Grixis control deck post Standard. Any suggestions for cards to add/cut would be great.

I think you need more bolas. Run atleast 2. What is with the drownyard? You dont need mill in here. Rakdos return's can be a win condition mid to late game. Put annother desolate lighthouse in. You need some more counters in here.. Like Cancel and another 1/2 dissipates.

-2 Forbidden Alchemy +1 Think Twice +1 Izzet Charm -1 Snapcaster Mage +1 Olivia Voldaren -1 Desolate Lighthouse +1 Izzet Keyrune -1 Jace, Architect of Thought +1 Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker

Thats my two cents. Reason is alchemy can be great, but alot of your cards aren't worth Snapcasting, Izzet Charm has better versatilty and Think Twice already has flashback. Olivia Voldaren is a hammer against aggro decks (which buys you alot of time to get to your Bolas) and Izzet Keyrune , when it attacks with no blockers is a Desolate Lighthouse , or it provides more ramp, better versatility.

I've been thinking about taking out a Snapcaster Mage , actually. I don't think i'll add another Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker though, back when Karn Liberated was played no one ever played more than one of him in a deck, and he was colorless at 7 mana, not 3 colors at 8.

A lot of people like Izzet Charm but i was never a fan. It just seems like 3 O.K. cards combined to make one Ehhhh card. You already have four Pillar of Flame so the burn is pointless, the card sift is card disadvantage which is not optimal in a control deck at all, and the counter is just a bad Negate . I also think you're safe to cut at least 1 land, probably even 2 saying as how you have 3 Rakdos Keyrune . As for what you want to put in these spots is up to you. I always say that counters are never a wrong turn. Loads of people say that counters are dead in the current meta game and that Cavern of Souls makes them worthless half the time. But in the current format there are less and less tribal decks that make Cavern of Souls viable. Here is my deck:grixis-control-07-10-12-6 Deck. I also really like Jace, Architect of Thought . Assuming i had any he would for sure be in my deck.

Hi ! I found your deck to be similar to my deck:another-grixis-control one. I appreciate having a view of what people can do with the same concept, but different approaches. So please feel free to comment mine also ;)

A few questions for you. Are you happy with the single copies of Tribute to Hunger and Sever the Bloodline ? I currently use Searing Spear instead, as the instant speed and 3 dmg are very handy to deal with pretty much every beginning and mid game threat I face, and I can do it a couple of turns earlier, which helps a lot vs aggro. These two cards are definitely in my SB though.

I'm sure the Snapcaster Mage is powerful, but I still hesitate as it is really expensive in selling price, so I wanted to know your feedback about it. Do you feel if it's worth the investment? I see it like a way to still play the spells you don't pick with the Forbidden Alchemy , and if I had to play a couple of them, I would definitely replace the Think Twice by Desperate Ravings . Have you already been considering it?

Last one, why don't you play the bonfires MB? I would play them so hard even if I had only of them!

Another Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius would be really great idea imo just because it can ping to death a lot of the low drop B/R aggro cards which is a serious threat and dealing 1 damage to your opponent and drawing a card for 2 mana is amazing.
