Update: I now have everything except the expensive lands for this deck and I'm just using crappy slow lands for now. The deck feels fun and if I can get 1 or 2 infect spells early and either a spellfist or aqueous form I'm definitely killing something. Problem is actually getting those cards. Going to test the deck on a friend and see how it goes

Killing people by combining giving my guys counters and giving the other guys minus counters to see where it goes. Was playing with the deckbuilder and saw it can be pretty simple to score a turn 4 with with both Elusive Spellfist and Favored Hoplite provided one can get a Phyresis or some Tainted Strike.

Using Phyresis and Tainted Strike allows me to kill somebody in half the time it normally would, which is super awesome. Also having the added effect of making the other guy's creatures weaker is also amazing. Using Gods Willing and Ajani's Presence for protection to keep everyone safe, going with Ajani's Presence because it is a cheaper protection spell than others, even though there are definitely better choices. Aqueous Form is brilliant in this deck so had to include it and Bonds of Faith is nice for either an awesome buff or some nice control/removal which this deck lacks.

As far as building for modern goes I am not very practiced, so if there are any cards that would benefit in this type of deck that I am missing please point them out.

As far as lands go I'm not sure exactly what I want. With the low cmc of this deck I feel that I do not need too many fast lands to be successful, but should I go with lands like Darkslick Shores or would it be better to use the lands like Watery Grave? I don't exactly have a lot of money to throw around but I feel both can work in this situation. Let me know what you think!
