I prefer Chandra, ToD frankly

She sequences a lot better with Flame Rift

List otherwise looks solid, except there's no Sulfuric Vortex

Hi, Stefouch!

Thx for upvote and all your suggestions mate!

Deck still in brewing stage, but I already tryed out Bedlam Reveler and he wasnt good enough to stay in =(

Ankh of Mishra is in tests right now :-)

Repercussion is here for now, but I dont sure its will stay, so no Blasphemous Act . I want to swap it later to Blazing Chant enchantment from Modern Horizons, its have pretty nice synergy with Tibalt first ability and overral with deck tech, and I hope MTG "Gods" give us some more good red cards. especially I cant wait to see Red Force spell >_<.

Hi, Laurentian!

Thx for your comment.

I prefer Tibalt cuz he is mean guy ;-P

About Sulfuric Vortex - our commander is already Vortex without side effects for us - Tibalt does stack with Basilisk Collar wich is our second chance to keep up through all burn effects.

I tested Bedlam, it's just a little too low impact in 4 player games. I would run a Red Ele Blast instead to keep blue mages second guessing themselves.

I love your brew. Have you thought of including Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle for some free damage? I went a storm/spellslinger direction...feel free to take a look! +1

Hi, Enral!

Thx for your up vote and suggestion, I am glad you liked the deck! :-)

I really like Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle (even buy myself promo one) but no matter how many times I playtested it, it was never good enough to stay in :-( It's a "bit" slow (it's ability will be online only on seven turn) and can ruin deck speed - enters the battlefield tapped.

I'd suggest adding By Force in place of Smash to Smithereens

May 27, 2019 8:35 p.m.

Hi, 7xprototype

Thx for upvote, mate!

By Force not bad card, but if I choose to swap Smash to Smithereens for sorcery spell, I think Shattering Spree or Vandalblast are little better variants imho. But still tyvm for your suggestion!

From my tiny experience in cEDH, I would say By Force is the best artifact-wipe, close to Shattering Spree . The latter can avoid countermagic, but needs too much red mana (which is fine in this list)

Vandalblast gives you only two choices: one artifact or all of them. Sometimes, you need to destroy two or three of them as soon as possible. But Vandalblast comboes with Mycosynth Lattice

Your deck is kinda similar to a Koth of the Hammer oathbreaker deck I'm brewing up. Following for possible ideas. I'll put my Koth deck on here. Maybe you'll see something you like in my list.

Volt Charge can burn someone and add a counter to Tibalt, which you may want to make an extra token and recast him. It's probably better than using his own token to ping himself.

I've seen that you have upvoted my first sliver deck and have been curious to take a look on your decks too!

I honestly have just discovered oathbreaker, yesterday exactly.

And I'm very interested to give it a try. Be sure that you'll be an inspiration for how to build a deck of that kind.

+1 for you friend!

The fact this deck isn't called Running with the Devil is a federal offense.

In all seriousness, this list is sweet. But if you're running the Snow Basics, you may as well run one of the most metal cards of them all Skred ! Magmatic Sinkhole could be neat too but outside of those you've got a pretty sweet list.

Easy +1 from me!

Hi, birb.fm!

Thx for your upvote and suggestions!

Skred - good card, but cant damage players and planeswalkers, need 3 snow permanents (in our case three Snow-Covered Mountain ) just to be " Lightning Bolt ".

Magmatic Sinkhole - not bad card, but cant damage players and delve 5 is too much - we dont play fetch lands and graveyard is better keep filled with some instant and sorcery spells for Finale of Promise .

First off, As I'm not seeing it, I'd like to ask what HUB or what not you use to confirm that the deck is an Oathbreaker deck.

As for the actual comment-- Can I ask why you're using Flame rift? For such a format, wouldn't Pyrokinesis Be easier, and more readily available?

Higin317 says... #18

Derp. I just noticed that Pyrokinesis said creatures. ignore that.

I've seen an absolutely brutal Tibalt deck with Runeflare Trap at the helm. You end up having to run various Howling Mine and Wheel of Fortune effects, but at 7+ a pop, your opponents die mighty fast.

It's definitely geared more toward 1v1 than Flame Rift, but if your meta is more 1v1 than pods, it's a pretty good option.
