pie chart Playful Pachyderms

Custom Format: Pathetic creature typeThe deck must be mainly based on a pathetic creature type when compared to the other main creatures such as demons, angels, dragons, goblins, elves...etc

Acceptable types include: Goats, sapling, turtles, elephants, rhinos, spiders etc...

Also: The deck must cost less than $10 to create, not including cards that the player already owns.

I have chosen to go with Elephants and hope to create a fun casual deck that will be competitive against other 'pathetic' based creature type decks

This is pretty much the deck I want. I need to get it under ten dollars and right now its about $18. Any advice? Thanks :)

I like the idea of your little "format"! +1 for that alone. :D

Could my griffin deck fall under that banner? - deck:pea-tear-griffin - or are griffins not 'pathetic' enough :D

+1 from me too for the fun of it.

I've seen some cool goats decks on here. I had a wolf deck before innistrad. That probably wouldn't apply for this concept now. +1 for the format, like funkalunk. I definitely recommend a playset of Elephant GraveyardMTG Card: Elephant Graveyard.

And...nvm. I didn't realize just how expensive Elephant GraveyardMTG Card: Elephant Graveyard was.

@Arcticus - Griffins are definitely included, feel free to use them!

Bestial MenaceMTG Card: Bestial Menace and Elephant AmbushMTG Card: Elephant Ambush could be extra copies of Call of the HerdMTG Card: Call of the Herd.

Also, would changelings be legal for help (aka Chameleon ColossusMTG Card: Chameleon Colossus?)

TristanTaylorsVoice I discussed this with the two other playets and we decided that:As long as the changlings aren't very good and are still following the initial theme of using "not very good" creature types, than sure.

~Keep in mind that the goal is to make a deck as bad as possible and still be winning. Keep it under 10 dollars!

You've inspired me to work on a goat deck, but unfortunately there are only 3 cards that refer to goats (Springjack PastureMTG Card: Springjack Pasture, Springjack ShepherdMTG Card: Springjack Shepherd and the almighty GoatnapperMTG Card: Goatnapper), which is why I asked. I have yet to figure out how to win outside of Shields of Velis VelMTG Card: Shields of Velis Vel or Amoeboid ChangelingMTG Card: Amoeboid Changeling on random crap to goat-nap.

TristanTaylorsVoice That is an awesome idea. maybe you could splash it like goats and turtles or goats and crabs. I can just see it now: crabby goats, horned goaties. :)

Can you make a new version of a good Elephant deck but include the new cards from Khans and Fate? That would totally rock.
