New to Legacy. The graveyard is my bread and butter in EDH, currently building a SBT, FC / Hulk / Muldrotha combo deck. With my EDH focus entirely on that one deck I thought I had the space to branch out into another format. I've been looking at Lands, Turbo Depths, TES, Dragon Stompy, Punishing Dack, yet none tickled my fancy in quite the way Dredge has. As many have said before Dredge isn't Magic.

My inception to the Dark Art of Dredge Fu was originally this article the Second Greatest Tournament Report which led me to find more information about Dredge and in particular Legacy LED Dredge. The Dark Art article really interested me because Feldman decided to eschew anti-hate countermeasures like Nature's Claim, Abrupt Decay, or Chain of Vapor which we're all originally in my Board but after hearing why not to run them I am inclined to agree. Why take out impactful cards, Ichorid Beats, Breakthroughs, or others, to bring in interactive cards? Too many things have to go wrong (or right) for your Nature's Claims to hit and allow you to win. Your opponent has to have the hate piece and play it before you can get the engine going and then by reducing your speed this is more likely to happen plus you have to have the luck to draw into your Chain of Vapor and the mana to use it which will still timewarp you.

Perhaps I will do a primer / card by card discussion once I begin to play. All my current views are subjective to my research and not unto my own experience. Let's go 4x LEDs! Goodbye Wallet.
