Back to your cells prisoners, it's time to Lock Down!

This a control deck at heart. The goal is to play a bunch of enchantments that prevent your opponent from playing or using threats and eventually, from attacking.

The main win con is Luminarch Ascension. Alternatively you can win by White Sun's Zenith, Celestial Colonnade.

In order for this deck to be successful the piolet needs to be experienced playing modern, so you know what cards to name with Runed Halo, Nevermore , and Pithing Needle. Below I've written a guide to a few key matchups if assembling a pillow fort sounds like fun to you!

Don't forget to up vote!

Matchups:

Affinity - Favorable (55/45). Look for hands with Porphyry Nodes , Path to Exile, Ghostly Prison.

Runed Halo, Pithing Needle - Inkmoth Nexus

Nevermore, Pithing Needle - Cranial Plating, Arcbound Ravager

Side in 3x Stony Silence, 1x Pithing Needle

Runed Halo - Pestermite and Deceiver Exarch.

Nevermore - Cryptic Command, Splinter Twin.

Pithing Needle - PestermiteDeceiver Exarch

Ghostly Prison and Sphere of Safety prevent an attack if they combo.

Side in 1x Leyline of Sanctity to prevent them from snap bolting you to death, also shuts down Keranos, God of Storms and Vendilion Clique. Bring in 3x Negate and 2x Rest in Peace, 1x Pithing Needle.

Jund - Difficult (45/55) The discard and Abrupt Decay make this matchup tough. Mull until you find Leyline of Sanctity.

Runed Halo, Pithing Needle - Liliana of the Veil.

Nevermore - Abrupt Decay, Liliana of the Veil, Maelstrom Pulse

Side in 2x Leyline of Sanctity and 3x Negate, 1x Pithing Needle.

Burn - 50/50 Mull for Leyline of Sanctity

Runed Halo - a creature if you can't remove it otherwise name a burn spell.

Nevermore - Eidolon of the Great Revel, Destructive Revelry wear/tear if you have a Leyine out (name Tear), otherwise name a burn spell. Side in 2x Leyline of Sanctity, 1x Timely Reinforcements and 3x Negate, 1x Timely Reinforcements

Bogles - Favorable (55/45), keep hands with Porphyry Nodes and Runed Halo.

Runed Halo - whichever creature they're enchanting.

Nevermore - whichever creature isn't named by Halo.

Nevermore - whichever creature isn't named by Halo, or a pump spell

Side in 3 Negate

RG Tron - Difficult (45/55). Keep them from assembling Tron long enough with Spreading Seas, Ghost Quarter, Tectonic Edge until you can play Nevermore's, Stony Silence, and Pithing Needle.
