INTRODUCTION: Let's crack down on this! People say that the Pia's Eggs archetype is either too slow or just isn't competitive, but I know ways you can make it work, like adding cheap counter spells to the sideboard and by making your "eggs" (artifacts you crack for mana and to draw, and possible damage) cheaper with Foundry Inspector! Like combo? Here you go! it's the return of the Eggs! Pia's Eggs is actually slightly faster (as in it doesn't take as long) than Second Breakfast, the original Standard eggs that showed a whole lot of play at the Return to Ravnica GP among others at the time. I'm hoping that SOMEBODY will run a Pia's Eggs in the next GP or Pro Tour! Feel free to edit/make your own decklists, as the Eggs archetype nowadays slightly more flexible and there is more variety. Some people even make Eggs decks right now WITHOUT Pia's Revolution! Also the maybeboard is full of recommendations if you want to make this budget build better. Keep in mind that this is just a template.

HOW IT WORKS: Your win conditions are Pia's Revolution and Reckless Fireweaver. If someone is at 3 life or is greedy with their life, you can use Pia's Revolution to get your eggs back and can kill your opponent with Reckless Fireweaver and Implement of Combustion (trust me, you will have drawn enough cards to get it). You use things like Foundry Inspector to make your eggs cheaper. Use your eggs to draw until you get Pia's Revolution or Reckless Fireweaver, then dig even more for more eggs! Inventors' Fair is in here because you can tutor for anything you might need mid to late game. Also for more life.

SECRET SIDEBOARD TECH: Counterspells to protect your Foundry Inspectors, Reckless Fireweavers, and Pia's Revolutions. Fortuitous Find to bring things back, just in case.

MAYBEBOARD AKA MORE EXPENSIVE CARDS TO MAKE YOUR DECK BETTER(SIDE AND MAINBOARD): Disallow is the BEST counterspell in Standard right now. Scrap Trawler you can tutor for and can be used to cycle your eggs. The Blight series of lands can be used for many purposes, especially the white, black, and blue ones. Spire of Industry is the best land for this deck, no arguing. Metalwork Colossus can be used as a late-game backup plan and even the smaller Improvise ones from Aether Revolt can be of a early to mid game help. Unbridled Growth can be used to access your other colors of mana (we are playing the good stuff), and can be used as card draw. Fumigate if the opponent is just throwing up a ton of creatures, and even gives us life. Don't always be scared to use a Fumigate if you have to, especially late game. You will probably kill them with an Implement of Combustion, due to being able to get it back with Pia's Revolution, and by this point you don't need your Reckless Fireweaver anymore. Herald of Kozilek is an alternative to Foundry Inspector, but the two colors can sometimes make life hard. Hope of Ghirapur shuts down many decks, like burn. Sea Gate Wreckage can be used for late-game card draw. Unknown Shores can be handy if your deck runs too many colorless lands or just need another color of mana. Also, if you're going to replace the basic lands with some spicy non-basics, then you should take out your Renegade Maps.

(RESEARCH) NOTES: I have noticed that Salivating Gremlins can be a win condition, but it can't attack and have any effect the turn you put it down.

Get your win conditions out as soon as possible, but not if you KNOW they have removal in their hand and will use it before you win. But this is okay with Pia's Revolution sometimes as you don't necessarily need more than one unless you NEED the last Implement of Combustion in your deck. Who is going to take 6, 9, or 12 damage to keep an egg in your graveyard? Especially when Scrap Trawler can be a thing you might have.

Sometimes you want to save a Implement of Combustion for end game, as it most likely is part of your win condition. And I emphasize on A because if you have more than one, sacrifice one of them if you want, especially when you are in need of card draw. But you can instead use Implement of Improvement to gain life or Implement of Ferocity to buff your creatures early. Also try to use Implement of Malice and maybe even Implement of Examination mid game, but I always recommend putting off Implement of Examination early because it's a pain to get out without your Foundry Inspector(s).

I have also found that Matter Reshaper can be helpful (especially when your whole deck costs less than 3 mana), but the debate between it and Scrap Trawler is to be continued.
