New Horse Lord plus metamorph to spam 5/5 Indestructible horses onto the field.
Just gotta play some life gain to turn horses on.
I considered 4 Horses and 3 metamorphs but the curve got too high. I figure 3 horses in a control shell should see me draw at least 1 per game. Phyrexian Metamorph is nice as it is more versatile than a 4th horse and it costs only 3 if I flip a lone rider I can clone a 4/4 trample lifelink first strike, Or I can target my opponents strongest creature. Best case is to get a second Crested Sunmare T6 and play a Blessed Alliance to get 2 5/5 indestructible tokens at end of turn, while also flipping a
Lone Rider
.
Authority of the Consuls slows down the opponents game plan as well as providing me life gain during opponents turn which turns on Crested Sunmare.
Lone Rider
is almost the perfect addition to the deck. He has lifelink so He can turn un a mare and he himself can become much more of a threat if I gain enough life. Blessed Alliance can gain enough to flip a Lone rider while also getting a 5/5 horse. The only issue is that he is not a Horse even though the horror side could be a horse. I wish wizards had known they would make crested sunmare back when EMN dropped. they could have made the flip side's type Eldrazi Horse Horror. Oh well, at least he looks like a horse
Mana Leak and Render Silent to further slow them down.Kitchen Finks almost turns on a Lone Rider and can get me Horse Tokens twice if it dies on a different turn.
Supreme Verdict is awesome boardwipe.Blessed Alliance is cheap way to activate Crested Sunmare on either turn.
I would love some help to make this deck work. I want to amass Horses and stay as competitive as possible. Im not expecting to beat tier 1 decks but I still wanna have fun and win some matches.
The Deck needs a better life gain / Control Shell to work I would think.
