MTG Deck Builder

Phenomenal Cosmic Power!!!

Vorxis

Legacy

Score: 8

Description

This deck uses its many draw and tutor cards to allow you to play a Show and Tell and Omniscience , allowing you to pretty much empty your deck and play the powerful Griselbrand or Emrakul, the Aeons Torn for the win.

You could use a Show and Tell for the creatures straight away if you wish, but bear in mind that the eldrazi casting effect won't trigger.

what protection do you have if they flip a o-ring or gilded drake on the show and tell? you might also want to consider sneak attack for grisel and krul

REALLY cool. but, do you really need Volcanic Island ? can't you just use Sulfur Falls ? because $1500 for a deck is kinda ridiculous, even if it is just a concept :/

another option might be Primal Surge, show and tell omniscience and then go Primal surge play out most of the deck win

@Sniperops - This is slight variation of a recent top 4 Legacy tournament deck. So yes, I'm afraid it does indeed require 4 Volcanic Island s; plus, you can't nab a Sulfur Falls with a fetchland. And you need the fetches for Brainstorm and Ponder , so they won't have a budget replacement either unless the deck wants to be run sub-optimally.

@Vorxis - No sideboard for Burning Wish to take advantage of?

@ torridus - i've had no real time to collect a sideboard together, but it would nominally include another Show and Tell - if that's even allowed! - as well as some other tech. card:Grafdigger's Cage would also go in to stop decks with graveyard recursion. Not really sure what else to put in though.

I admit, I clicked and +1'ed this because of the name.

The 4-of rule applies to the sum of your deck and sideboard, so putting a Show and Tell in the board means having 3 max in the deck, but hey, 3 Burning Wish essentially gives you 6 copies.

I just don't see why you would bother using omniscience when you can just fetch a game ender with Show and Tell

Because the combo goes Show and Tell -> Omniscience -> Everything (including getting the "cast me" bonus from Emrakul, the Aeons Torn ).

Steam Vents and Watery Grave ? to reduce cost? they still work with fetch lands...

I had to +1 just because its awesome, and I love the idea. I'd make a variant of this myself if I could ever justify the cost haha.

... I never even looked at the cost when I was putting the cards together! The price is outrageous!

Well, I feel sheepish!

I'm new to this game, so could you explain the need for Ancient Tomb and City of Traitors ?

They give the deck the ability to cast Show and Tell on turns 1-2.
