Of all the 2 color combinations I have seen, Green Black is my favorite. It matches my playstyle in other card games and it is always fun to be able to recycle cards that your opponent worked so hard to get rid of. I was really hoping for some really amazing recycle cards in Journey into Nyx. So I was originally really disappointed when Pharika, God of Affliction was released. I was encouraged to take another look at her, as her face value is actually decent. So I looked through all the Black and Green cards in Theros Block. and I didn't know how I was such an idiot to miss all the combos. Namely, the obvious one, Doomwake Giant + Pharika, God of Affliction . Since Pharika's snakes are enchantment creatures, they trigger Doomwake's effects and all creatures get -1/-1. Multiple snakes trigger Doomwake multiple times. I pay six mana (3 green and 3 black) to get 3 1/1 deathtouch creatures and wipe all of my opponents monsters with toughness 3 or less.

There is also the board wiping combo of Dictate of Erebos + Drown in Sorrow . Anything on the field that is 2 toughness or less dies. Anytime that one of mine dies, you have to sack one of yours because of Dictate of Erebos.

I built this really quickly and it hasn't had much testing. I am really excited about the flow of the deck. The deck NEEDS more testing desperately and I am open to suggestions. I am contemplating taking out Pharika's Chosen. It is a great card, but it feels wrong. I was thinking of running 1 Squelching Leeches as a nice beatstick. Honestly, the whole thing feels half done. As usual, I didn't do any research. I just did what feels good. Right Now I am testing with proxies. I don't plan to acquire cards until I have a solid build.
