Perfectly Sane Vampires (Not Mad)

Modern Aggro BR (Rakdos) Competitive Tribal Vampires

xtopazinferno

Sideboard

Sorcery (3)

While this deck does have some cards with madness in it, it is not based around madness. The goal of this deck is to be a strong vampire aggro deck without madness. There are a couple of reasons for this:

While madness is good, it is often too slow. Cards like Furyblade Vampire require you to attack, Call the Bloodline require you to pay , and even though playing Fiery Temper for madness off of Lightning Axe is awesome, it is very unlikely to actually happen. Taking the focus away from madness makes the deck much faster, and more consistent. Instead of relying more on drawing cards with madness, all you have to worry about is drawing lands and creatures (novel concept, isn't it?). As well as gaining speed, you also get access to some of the best cards in the colors. Black gives you Fatal Push, Vampire Lacerator , and Bloodghast, and red gives you Lightning Bolt, Fiery Temper , and Lightning Axe. The deck overall, becomes more competitive and reliable with the movement away from madness.
