A basic five-color deck that uses the Converge ability.

The basic goal of the mana base is to progress toward a full "color set" of one of each land type. This will power up the larger creatures that use the Converge ability. In the early game, since the mana colors available will be limited, there are lots of and artifact creatures to do early blocking.

Use the fetch-lands Evolving Wilds and Terramorphic Expanse to grab lands you are missing... either missing for what you have in-hand or what you need to make a full color set. The Gateway Plaza and Chromatic Lantern cards keep the five-color strategy from getting color-hosed.

If your lucky, a great start is a draw of at least three lands... all of different colors of course!

Also, don't be tempted to wait for another color when you could cast an creature and do some aggro damage earlier. There will be ample opportunities to use the extra color later.
