Pauper URG Cloudpost

Pauper

proWL

The engine of this deck is to use Cloudpost (fueled by Glimmerpost) to put into play end game outs in the Pauper format.

The rest of the deck is focused on finding the necessary pieces and ramping up into a Ulamog's Crusher, Kaervek's Torch, Capsize or Sprout Swarm. Krosan Tusker can either be used to fetch lands/draw cards or be used as a 6/5 beater, which is pretty rare in Pauper.

There are some control elements as well, Mana Leak as a versatile early game option and also Condescend to make use of the mana generated from Cloudpost.

There are also plenty of other useful interactions: such as Capsize bouncing back a Glimmerpost to help gain life against aggressive decks. While Reap and Sow is almost always used to fetch a land, could also be used to increase the gap between you and the opponent's mana base.

Mulldrifter speaks for itself, card advantage when you need it, but also an evasive beater when you have the mana (which is often).

Elephant Ambush is a great big instant-speed beater that can be cast twice and can be a good sink for extra mana.

Coiling Oracle is a beast as well, at the very least drawing you a card, but at best putting a Cloudpost into play to get a threat into play even sooner.

Expedition Map can fetch any land, which is crucial and Prophetic Prism gives card advantage and mana fixing. I am considering replacing the Prophetic Prism with Shimmering Grotto, but that will be seen with play testing.

Considering adding some board sweepers to fight early aggressive decks. Probably will be in Red, so that will force me to further shake up the mana base. I may do this in expense of the Mana Leak's.

Another option I am considering is Serrated Arrows, but perhaps that would be strictly a sideboard card.

Frenzied Tilling is another card option I have considered instead of Reap and Sow, but if I did that I would also have to add some more Mountains to the decklist.

Earth Rift is another good flashback card that fits into the theme, but again I think Reap and Sow just does a better job, but the flashback would be nice. Will determine this through play tests.
