Strange women lying in lakes distributing swords does not a representative democracy make, but it does make a pretty annoying combo deck. Emry's graveyard might as well be a junkyard, and it basically functions as your hand as long as she is out. It's pretty frustrating to play against because she doesn't really care about removal of herself or artifacts and there are so many potential combo pieces it is tough for opponents to get exile them unless they get you with yard hate. If you're looking for an ace mechanic and you don't want to spend a fortune, this metal lurking mermaid is the lady for you.

PARTS:

Krark-Clan Ironworks , Grinding Station plus any 0 cost artifact and Emry/ Mirran Spy = infinite artifact ETB. Ashnod's Altar , Altar of Dementia plus any 0 cost artifact creature also does the same job. Lotus Petal or Mox Amber plus a sac outlet and Emry and Mirran Spy will net you infinite mana, but so far the only sink is Retrofitter Foundry or Hangarback Walker . Aetherflux Reservoir and Altar of the Brood are the best ways to convert any of the above combos into an instant win payoff, but there is also Sai, Master Thopterist for infinite thopters, Jace, Wielder of Mysteries + Secrets of the Dead for the LabMan win, or you can use Jace the same way with Emry/Mirran Spy plus Urza's Bauble , leaving three cards in your library: one to draw, two to his +1 ability, then win on 0 draw. The Secrets of the Dead works with Psychosis Crawler also. Then of course there is the poor man's Paradox(engine): Isochron Sceptre+ Dramatic Reversal , two man in colorless from your rocks, and any of the above finishers. Also, with this combo in place plus Emry and the spy and Codex Shredder , Grinding Station , or Millikin , you can put your whole deck in the yard to find a combo piece to finish the table.

LABOR:

Muddle the Mixture to tutor for Scepter or Dramatic Reversal Drift of Phantasms to tutor for Mirran Spy

Winter Orb plus a sac outlet and Emry is a nice stax piece, allowing you to hold up the table's mana then sac it right before your turn to untap your lands, then cast it again with Emry.

Etherium Sculptor and Foundy Inspector or Ugin for artifact cost reduction.

Foil is a weak counter spell in most decks but here it works well because we're mono blue and want to pitch artifacts in the yard

Not a ton of removal here, but Aether Spellbomb is vicious, especially in 1v1.

This deck is pretty fast and more than capable of turn 4 or 5 wins a lot of the time. There are some cantrips and such but it mostly doesn't need them as long as you have access to Emry and can keep the junk yard flowing.

Hope to get some suggestions here. Thanks for reading!
