This deck is for comboing or locking down your opponents, what it lacks in consistent combo it makes up for it in stopping your opponents.

  1. Combo at the right time
  2. If you can not combo off , lock your opponents from going off.
  3. If you lock your opponents and your opponents lock yourself from going off, attack for value.

So comboing with this deck is tricky, the combos itself are not difficult. It's knowing the right time.

**

Combos:

**

  1. Flash + Protean Hulk searches into ( Devoted Druid + Vizier or Remedies + (Protection: Spellskite/ Selfless Spirit/ Grand Abolisher)) "you usually want to do this with silence or a counter backup out on the field.

  2. Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + ( Resto / Deceiver/ Pestermite/ Zealous/ felidar )

  3. Restoration Angel + Felidar Guardian with Purphoros, God of the Forge out.

  4. Late game Tooth and Nail get either combo

**

Birthing Pod Infinite path:

** Fastest route to going infinite using birthing pod.

Requires Birthing pod + 1 drop creature + 2 drop creature + 4 open mana + 8 life

Example:Birds of Paradise + wall of roots + Pod + 4 available mana

  1. Sac the wall of roots into deceiver exarch or Pestermite, E.T.B(enter the battlefield)effect you untap Birthing Pod
  2. Sac the Birds and look for phantasmal image, copy deceiver or pestermite to untap the Birthing Pod
  3. Sac the Phantasmal Image for a 4 drop (Phantasmal image is a copy of exarch or pester so it's now a 3 drop) Grab Restoration angel or Felidar Guardian target the deceiver/pestermite to untap Birthing Pod
  4. Sac the Restoration angel or Felidar Guardian to grab Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker and go Infinite.

SLOWING DOWN THE OPPONENTS

**

This deck is loaded with silver bullets to stop your opponent from going off, here is a list and the purpose of each hate card. Podding for them or (Chord of Calling/ Eldritch Evolution) for these creatures are the best way to cheat them out because once you resolve a pod activation//chord for a creature they are not allowed to respond to a creature entering the battlefield.

  1. Glen Elendra Archamge: She is one of the decks "go to" because of how difficult it is to interact with her, her ability can not be countered by normal counter spells it's either stifle or making (x) spell uncounterable.

  2. Grand Abolisher: Normally I like to cast Chord of Calling at the end of turn, this way players have to kill Grand Abolisher before my turn, hence wasting a kill spell or a counter spell on the creature/chord.

  3. Eidolon of Rhetoric: This is an amazing card never underestimate the vaule of 1 spell per turn. If you're going against a storm deck of even using it to protect yourself never forget about this ability. A player cast a spell in response you chord of calling for eidolon of rhetoric, the card looks at the entire turn so if eidolon is able to resolve in response to a spell, that player can not cast another spell for the turn. She is a great pair with "" Glen Elendra Archamge "" having both of these out creates a nice safety net to combo off.

  4. Scavenging ooze: The ability to exile any card from a graveyard at anytime is important. Key cards you try to exile: Food Chain, Narcomeba, Dread Return, Snapcaster targets, Jace Vryn Prodigy targets, Meren reoccurring creature.

-- Mixing 5-7 in any combination is a good way to lock down your opponents --

  1. Magus of the Moon: Essentially Blood Moon on a stick, when you have a few rocks/ dorks going for magus against a 3+ color deck is a fast way to shut down your opponent. Even mono color decks you shut down their utility lands. Multiple times I've face thrasios/ Tynma and pod into magus of the moon. The best part about podding or chording for Magus, of the Moon is the fact that if your pod activation or chord to resolves they can not float color mana from their non basic lands in response to seeing magus being podded out. Keep in mind birthing pod doesn't need green mana to cast or activate.

  2. Stranglehold: Yes i know this isn't a creature or something u can cheat out. But having this card or tutoring for this card can be worth it. Preventing fetch lands from fixing opponent's mana base is a strong enough effect to consider a slot in the 98. It also stops people from taking extra turns

  3. Linvala, Keeper of silence: My favorite card to have out, the ability to stop all activated abilities is so versatile. Combine her with Spellskite/Selfless spirit (Protection) + Magus of the moon is a great lock-down.

  4. Seedborn Muse: If you're going to grind your opponent out, seedborn gives extra value with thrasios in a multi-player game.
