This potent, artifact-based Modern storm deck combines 24 Cheerios (0 cost artifacts) with the insane card-draw potential of Thoughtcast, Reverse Engineer, and most importantly Paradoxical Outcome. Turns 1-3 are spent building up mana production via Mox Opal/Everflowing Chalice and playing enough additional Cheerios to start drawing cards with Thoughtcast and Reverse Engineer. Turn 4 is typically your first Paradoxical Outcome, which should allow you to return all artifacts you control to your hand and draw 4-8 cards. Having a Spellbook or in play will allow you to stockpile Cheerios in your hand after you do this, a strategy which gives you extra storm count on your combo turn. This massive surge in card advantage and zero cost spells in hand will consistently carry you to a massive Grapeshot storm victory around turns 5-7, when you're able to abuse Retract and Paradoxical Outcome in combination with your stockpiled Cheerios to rack up a high storm count. Merchant Scroll allows for consistent access to Paradoxical Outcome, Retract, as well as toolbox cards off the sideboard.

Although sometimes slower to combo than traditional U/R storm or the Puresteel Paladin Equipment Cheerios deck, I feel that it's a superior alternative to these decks by virtue of being harder to disrupt. Modern UR/Storm and Puresteel Cheerios require one or more 2-drop creatures to be in play to combo. This makes those decks extremely vulnerable both to removal and Inquisition of Kozilek. Removal is a dead card vs. Parodoxical Cheerios and Inquisition of Kozilek can't hit Paradoxical Outcome, which is really the only card in the deck that's disastrous to be without. It's also just flat out a really fun deck to play since the combo plays out more like something you'd see in Vintage rather than Modern.
