PST and Mad Farm butchered my way.
------------------------------------------------
since paradox engine ban this deck doesnt have a benefit over its evolution since p-engine was an additional one card button. of course you can put back in isoscepter in place of dox but that aint a one card bomb but a combo that makes nauses better most times.
Lab Farm
a potential future for TnT farm-naus.deck might be to go ozhov pure with bomberman and some free spells in green or blue color identity. focus on tymna that is.

inspiration:
introduction
welcome to a wild mashup. at the core this deck is the
Ad Nauseam
archetype as it fullfills all required criteria stated here https://www.reddit.com/r/CompetitiveEDH/comments/9fx90l/a_bad_farm_a_mad_nauseam_introduction_to_the/ . not having a big butt lifegain commander is where PST enters the stage. the deck packs enough green mana in gold sources to cast thrasios but the mana base is esper at the core. heavy YAWGWIN engine that makes for good main phase post nause at zero mana.
how to win
in the end you need one of these to win:
Laboratory Maniac
or
Sickening Dreams
;
Isochron Scepter
+
Copy Artifact
or
Praetor's Grasp
are backup
how to get there is the beauty of the deck as there are so many lines to go off initially. for sickening dreams to work there is needed at least one of these:
Ad Nauseam
,
Necropotence
or
Thrasios, Triton Hero
with infinite mana as well as
Paradox Engine
lines without initial infinite mana but infinite draw. now in case thrasios or paradox you can also win with labman instead. in the case of ad naus and necro its a little different. these are nice to set up labman aswell but dont happen to be part of the combo as you dont always access your whole library through them. thus
Demonic Consultation
and
Tainted Pact
are the bombs. they can either exile the library for labman or find the last piece for quick sickening angels combo if you have enough cards in hand.
the benefits:
tymna makes labman a quick opportunity. beats for draw can grind or set up the win. labman is also more compact than leonin 3 card combos. white naus creature package for intense black and white card love in addition to the usual angel's naus.
thras: several gold sources and 2 forests make paradox /iso a reliable and easy colorless combo. get there via loads of cards. he is not a lifegain commander but in addition to paradox lines we have blue. blue not only gives interaction and more tutors. theres baral and familiar that contribute to yawg will as there is remora.
the supreme addition though is
Quicken
as it enables lots of lines. for example you can win the turn you cast
Necropotence
+
Children of Korlis
during the endstep at:
later in the game you can even hold your
Angel's Grace
+
Ad Nauseam
forever for the perfect moment to win at instant speed.
what the deck sacrifices:
- : bruse the life farmer
- : mana dorks from pst and ikra tymna farm perspective as well as quality removal
- : pst runs more interaction and has notion wheels as midgame combo that doesnt need life
HOW TO PLAY
this deck produces lots of mana with ease but is hungry on and too. the rocks produce the most non black thus coupled with
Dramatic Reversal
/
Paradox Engine
/
Chain of Vapor
give premium amounts of the needed nonblack a times.
Yawgmoth's Will
can give the extra amount colors with
Lotus Petal
and
Lion's Eye Diamond
.
regarding playstyle its about when to go for it. setting up a point where you go off because you want to. or burst to a position that grinds while holding the win. the mana is the most important thing, it can generate loads after breaching a certain point but getting there is the first thing to do. the faster the mana the faster you can either choose to combo or to set up tymna or another engine. you are not looking for interaction asap. you either have them or (when needed but you dont have proection) its grind time. more cards always digs further for protection but in addition to the reaction offers proative opportunities to stay a threat. the combination of endstep bait into untap and go for it with card:boseiju, who shelter all is one of many ways but showcases the point nonetheless.
what you are looking for is tutors. they are the most flexible ways to navigate through the pieces you have to find the right plays. this is crucial as the rest of the deck doesnt give always the same starting hands/situations. for example hands might lead to certain specific combos manual. other times you set up tymna or adnaus. sometimes you play the remora interaction game or hold a hand full of rituals. in either situation a tutor is the solution. even if you have the win it can be the bait that if uncountered finds you protection to force it through or if countered deplets proactive resources at sucking counters and tpping mana. all this should be used to create a window if it doesnt appear natural. having down all the combos and playtest this enough is one thing but this deck rewards a proactive playstyle. knowing when to go for it or when not to overextend or when to risk something of important. you fall behind if you dont get closer to a win step by step. this doesnt mean though showing that. rituals are a strenght to hide a threat especially at times you miss landdrops. shure those are nice and if they come steady it will strengthen an even better mid- and lategame but its ok to miss some at times. rocks and rituals can be abused multiple times a turn which isnt true for lands here thus you can comeback/strike out of seemingly nothing.
protection like
Grand Abolisher
is usefull if you have the opportunity to fire an ad naus in response to other players actiona and reaction. you get the naus but know that the player untaps before your turn and thus you still have to fight through interaction again.
naus lifegain package can be used in various chains. sometimes you have them upfront which boosts the draw tremendously and other times you draw into them after depleting the life which can give alternative lines if you dont hit any of the many possible 2 or 3 card combination within business cards or enough mana and an extension like
Scroll Rack
. the ultimate instant speed pure naus win finds more mana + angel's grace + quicken + yawgwin recast naus and draw the rest of the deck recasting quicken + sickening dreams. more probably you might use children after naus regain life and if no yawgwill you can transition to necro. with yawgwill you can use childrenOfKorlis twice which can be abused if you drain the life again after first korlis activation again. the second activation adds them up and thus you could abuse the life to access the whole deck with whatever drain card. even
Plunge into Darkness
could just exile the rest of the library for labman because you didnt hit any other line.
stax - what now
-
Cursed Totem
hits some tymna beaters special abilites and thrasios opportunities. doesnt hit sickening nor maniac.
-
Null Rod
hits one part of the mana base and thus thrasios again but again sickening and labman dodge it while yawgwill is the alternative mana engine if rocks are out.
-
Rest in Peace
hits yawg hard. again sickening + labman are not disrupted while paradox engine / dramatic reversal can be the manaengines to win.
-
Stranglehold
crushes all the best but tymna + taint + maniac is a vital way that merges here with scepter. if you have the time you can imprint consultation to it and endstep /reversal /Pengine for the last piece of labman combo and then use again to exile deck. taint is also good with yawgwin in the same way. use it as a tutor to get the last piece and then use it to be a combo piece itself. in those situations its even more manaefficent than demonic tutoring.
-
Kismet
hurts the fastmana alot and thus denies fast strikes and the overall tempo.
-
Suppression Field
hits necro hard
-
Blood Moon
no rox no mana. this can hit hard and cuts boseiju off even if colors are ok.
-
Rule of Law
ouch. removal is rare and thus endstepping that into mainphase naus doesnt come up that ften. atleast you can manual labman combo spread through turns and resources. otherwise early opponents turn naus into endstep other opponents turn removal into untap win can be an option.
modules
the deck is in its form quite flexible. changing some removal into instant speed ones would raise the overall cmc but might be needed if it suits your playstyle better.
Spell Pierce
could be another defense card that i choose to play 1 discard spell instead. but you could also put
Defense Grid
in that slot to have a tutorable protection with
Enlightened Tutor
. in the same vein
Copy Artifact
as a flex backup could be something else to suit your needs.
Praetor's Grasp
fits that spot to have another tutor while also being a possible backup plan. even
Isochron Scepter
is kinda flex too. its main reason to run it would be to make main phase adnaus stronger as it is allready but i'm not shure if that is even necessary. of course wihout the dorks assembling isorev manual isnt as likely here than in green dedicated thrasios.
Shimmer Myr
would make the necro turn way more easy and likely because its more easy to have colorless mana up after necro hits the table.
yawgmoth's will
Yawgmoth's Will
is very powerfull for the deck. its 3 main uses are:
- you have resolved a big draw that depleted your mana. now you play all free mana and other rituals/ manapositive rocks to gain some mana and play yawgwin to replay the rituals which can get you to even more mana. in addition in enables you to replay tutors so you find even more mana or combopieces. its a basic extension for what you allready have and if you have lots it can make that be enough to win.
- its a 3 card combo in its own: you need 3 cards that are rituals and/or tutors and/or yawgwin where one at minimum is a tutor. if yawgwin is not in your hand the last tutor must find it. every tutor excess can find rituals. so you deplete your hand this way and at last cast yawgwin. replay the rituals and cast at minimum 1 tutor to find ad nauseam and cast it. win from there.
- you are going off and got enough mana and fluff but you lack complete combos. yawgwin combined with a forbidden tutor is very potent as it finds labman and so you can recast the forbidden tutor to exile the library.
necropotence
Necropotence
on its own is very powerfull. it can carry you trough slowed down games as an even more powerfull onboard engine like tymna. it can also blow hard early to sculpt a win for the next turn. with enough resources established it can even win the turn you play it. that means some extra life and some mana or a bunch of mana. sickening dreams is the only combo possible during endstep as i play
Quicken
. so that means you also need enough cards to discard for it. thats where the extra life is makes i way more easy than without. if you can only draw ~30 cards you need to also resolve ad nauseam (in addition to AG, Qui and Sick) during the endstep which dramatically raises the cost as you cant make use of moxen off necropotence.
Dramatic Reversal
is the most potent ritual to draw into via necro as it potentially gets you more colors than you could otherwise get. all other rituals only provide . actually making enough after initially only 1 black hast been a problem as the density of instant rituals is high.
