Kels, Fight Fixer has made a Tainted Pact with a supreme being to gain knowledge. Unfortunately for her underlings, this pact means a visit to the Phyrexian Altar. This means an early visit from the Harvester of Souls, but don't worry, these deaths will not have been in vain. The Laboratory Maniac will be aable to make good use of the knowledge Kels gained from the deaths of her minions.

The second I saw Kels, Fight Fixer spoiled I knew that I had to build a deck for it. I love and , but I've never really come across a commander that made me really want to build a Dimir deck. Until now. Kels seems like a pretty straightforward commander, just build an aristocrats deck. This is why I wanted to do a strategy that people wouldn't really expect from Kels, Fight Fixer.

General Gameplan

The way that this deck wins is really quite simple: Draw your deck and win with Laboratory Maniac effects. Kels, Fight Fixer helps by drawing us cards, but she can't do it on her own. This is why we bring in more ways to repeatedly draw cards upon death, and big X Draw Spells. This should hopefully speed the process along. We also bring in some Token Generators so that we have fodder for Kels. Here is how we basically want the game to go:

• Ramp a bunch so that we have a good amount of mana available while getting our Token Generators online

• Cast Kels, Fight Fixer, but leave enough mana to protect her and draw some cards.

• Draw as many cards as physically possible.

• Cast a Laboratory Maniac effect when you only have a couple cards left in the deck (but preferably none) and win through sacrificing some stuff.

How We Draw Cards

Kels, Fight Fixer can draw cards herself, but she can't do it on her own. As such, we use a multitude of other ways to draw cards.

Knowledge From Death Show

Here we pull a page from Kels book and draw cards upon creatures dying.

Decree of Pain, Grim Haruspex, Harvester of Souls, and Liliana, Dreadhorde General all serve this purpose. Additionally, Yawgmoth, Thran Physician allows us to draw cards when we sacrifice to him.

Zenith of Knowledge Show

We also use spells that will draw us a ton of cards at once in order to speed the process along.

Blue Sun's Zenith and Fascination allow us to choose how many cards we draw at once. Alternatively, Enter the Infinite allows us to draw our whole deck at once.

Demonic Consultation and Tainted Pact also allow us to "Draw" our whole deck at once.

The "Normal" Way Show

We also run some cards that will just sit on the board and draw us cards when we want it to.

Rhystic Study and Consecrated Sphinx are the classics, but we also have a new addition to the team. Teferi, Master of Time. Jace, Wielder of Mysteries can draw us cards as well, but I do not recommend letting him sit on the board.

Castle Locthwain is here too, but it is unlikely to ever be used since it would deal you so much damage.

Lastly we have a card that just makes every single one of our draw spells better: Teferi's Ageless Insight. This card effectively doubles all our draws!

Minions for Sacrifice

Sacrificing creatures is a core strategy of the deck, which means we need ways to get those creatures.

They Just Keep Coming Show

One of the ways we get creatures in this deck is through creating tokens.

Bitterblossom and Liliana, Dreadhorde General allows us to create tokens turn after turn.

Nadir Kraken has the potential to create tons of tokens because of the amount of cards we are drawing.

Lastly, Chasm Skulker creates a ton of tokens upon death, and Ghoulcaller Gisa will allow us to create more and more tokens by sacrificing to her.

Use Has Been Fulfilled Show

In the deck we also sacrifice the creatures that are no longer useful to us.

Murderous Rider, Noxious Gearhulk, and Ravenous Chupacabra are examples of this.

The nature of this deck also allows us to sacrifice our creatures if they come under threat of removal.

How We Sacrifice

This category is pretty self-explanatory. Kels, Fight Fixer can do it herself, but she still needs some assistance. Additionally, we try to use our sac outlets for even more value than we are already gaining.

Protecting Our Stuff

This deck is quite vulnerable to combat and disruption, this means that we need ways to keep our board as intact as possible. Luckily, Kels, Fight Fixer has a way built into the card to protect herself.

NOPE Show

We run a few counterspells, but not many. Because of this only counter the spells that will make your opponents win, or completely destroy you and/or your board.

No Creatures Allowed Show

We run a few boardwipes, but not many. Their main purpose is to keep creature decks in check. Living Death also allows us to get a bunch of sacrifice triggers at once, so that's a great upside.

Choose Your Least-Favorite Child Show

Since our creatures are constantly dying, one way to take advantage of this is Dictate of Erebos, Butcher of Malakir, and Ruthless Deathfang. These cards will make it extremely difficult for opponents to keep a critical mass of creatures on the board. Sheoldred, Whispering One is a notable mention here as well.

Bring My Dead Show

This deck does run a few ways to recur our creatures, but not many. Mikaeus, the Unhallowed is the main tool for this, but Living Death, Sheoldred, Whispering One, and Reanimate are here too.

Winning the Game

In this deck our Win Conditions are Laboratory Maniac, Jace, Wielder of Mysteries, and Thassa's Oracle. However, do not play these cards too early. The idea is that you get your deck down to a couple of cards (maybe half a dozen, max.), and then cast one of these cards. This gives your opponents the least amount of response time possible, since you can just sac your creatures to draw cards and win.

Some Fun Includes

If you know me, you know that I like my fun cards.

• Psychic Corrosion: We draw a lot of cards here, would be pretty funny if we milled out our opponents before we can mill ourselves!

• Narset's Reversal: Don't mind me, I'll just be over here copying Enter the Infinite or Blue Sun's Zenith.

• Bastion of Remembrance/Blood Artist/Zulaport Cutthroat: These cards can give us a little life-buffer, or deceive our opponents if we play one of these before showing our main plan. Has potential to bait removal.
