This deck is a work in progress focused on aggressive Life Gain (you gain/they lose). The original incarnation of this deck was my very first MTG deck built by a friend. I have since done a lot of tweaking.

STRATEGY:

Gain life! Gain as much as you can! Then do something with it: deal direct damage to one or more opponents or beef up a Creature with +1/+1 Counters.

CARDS:

Castigate = Take a look at an opponent's hand and take away something you don't want to deal with later.

Vampire Nighthawk = Flying, Death Touch, and Lifelink.

Divinity of Pride = Flying and Lifelink with a big upgrade (+4/+4) at 25 or more health.

Vizkopa Guildmage = Your Life Gain becomes direct damage.

Rhox Faithmender = Doubles any Life Gain and doubles the effects of Rest for the Weary and Vizkopa Guildmage. A Rhox Faithmender with Luminous Wake on it gains 10 life in a single attack. Combined with Viskopa-Guildmage that's -10 life for your opponent(s) (Vizkopa Guildmage hits multiple opponents).

Wall of Reverence = A great blocker with Flying that lets you gain life equal to the Power of a Creature you control at your End Step.

Luminous Wake = Just ridiculous here.

Unmake and Utter End = Removal.

Emerge Unscathed gives Protection from a chosen color, costs 1 White Mana, and can be cast again next Upkeep. Two turns of Protection!

Dawn Charm = Protection/Regeneration.

Sunbond = Stack those +1/+1 Counters like crazy. Great Synergy with Luminous Wake.

Cradle of Vitality = A more versatile Sunbond.

Rest for the Weary = Excellent life gain. Synergizes with Rhox Faithmender, Vizkopa Guildmage, Sunbond, Cradle of Vitality, and Chalice of Life  .

As an added bonus, most of these cards are affordable.

I am still play-testing this deck but I feel like the theory behind it is sound.
