I needed a home for Sorin, Grim Nemesis. He wasn't going to synergise well with the Gain and Drain deck I made, so I was a little stumped. Then it came to me: ELDRAZI. This is a different take on the mono-black eldrazi I've seen a couple people run. It splashes white for Sorin, Grim Nemesis, and I figured adding in an Eldrazi Displacer would be a nice addition, because it can work well with Thought-Knot Seer or any of the other Eldrazi in the deck. This is a prototype deck, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Well... sort of an FNM update. I wasn't able to make it to our standard tournament, but I was able to show up after the fact and play a few rounds against a couple of different decks.

First up was (from what I could tell) a Mardu superfriends deck with Chandra, Sorin, Kalitas, and Nahiri.

Game one, from my memory, went like this:Turn 2: played Transgress the Mind and ripped a Chandra from his hand (which scared the shit out of me because I had no idea what this guy was running).Turn 3: Wasteland Strangler which was then burned with Fiery Impulse on his turn.Turn 4: Thought-Knot Seer, ripping Kalitas from his hand.Turn 5: Reality Smasher and swinging for 9 (at this point, all he had on the field were land creatures like shambling vent.)The rest of the game went in a similar fashion, with me ripping cards from his hand before he could manage to cast them and whittling down his life total.

Game 2 started in a pretty similar fashion, ripping big threats from his hand. Turn five he was able to get out Nahiri, but by that time I had a decent board presence so I wasn't too worried. Turn 6 I was able to play an Oblivion Sower and hit four lands with his ability. Turn 7 Conduit of Ruin, searching up Ulamog. Turn 8 Ulamog, exiling Nahiri and a shambling vent, and at this point the game was over.

On Monday I'll be taking the deck to a Standard tournament at our card shop, so we'll see how it does there!
