Here is a comprehensive list looking at a versatile, resilient and very hateful deck. If you dislike fun and the people trying to have it, this is the deck for you. This deck is a wealth of synergistic effects and can result in some very complicated interactions.

Hatebears vs. Death & Taxes:First, let's look at what the difference between HateBears and a D&T deck is. It comes down to a very simple idea, highlighted in this forum post about the topic, HateBears focus on beatdown while D&T focus on tax and flicker value. D&T abuse Enter the Battlefield(ETB) effects with flicker while slowing their opponent down with tax like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and Leonin Arbiter. Hatebears slow the opponent down with those same cards but use that advantage to beat down with high-value low-cost cards.

Understanding this distinction is crucial when forming your strategy with the deck. You have very powerful ETB effects that Flickerwisp and Eldrazi Displacer can continue to abuse. It is central to your gameplan.

Bread and Butter:

Aether Vial

Overview:This one mana artifact allows this deck to exist and be quite powerful. It let you cheat out creatures at instant speed, avoiding counterspells and sorcery speed removal.

Synergies:

Aether Vial + Flickerwisp

This is one of the strongest interactions the deck has. Having Flickerwisp enter at instant speed allows you to do a few nasty things. Remove an attacker/blocker from combat, dodge a removal spell, rebuy an ETB, remove any permanent for the turn and more. If you vial Flickerwisp onto the battlefield during an end step, it will keep the card in exile until the next end step. It is crucial as it can help slow your opponent down, possibly opening them up to more damage from your active threats or buy you an extra turn to get those threats onto the board.

Aether Vial + Leonin Arbiter

Ahh...Land tax. So, modern loves fetch lands. Wouldn't it be amazing if you could punish those darn greedy mana bases? Leonin Arbiter is a staple in this deck for a reason. This 2/2 can force your opponents into painful choices that follow your gameplan of slowing them down. So the way this works is opponents are required to pass your priority after cracking a fetch, so this gives you time to vial in Leonin Arbiter. This is best done if they cannot pay for the associated cost to search, however punishing them by getting them to pay to mana to get one mana can be worth it to slow them down as well. A very powerful interaction is if they opponent pays for the Leonin Arbiter effect, you can flicker the Leonin Arbiter, using Eldrazi Displacer or Flickerwisp to force them to pay for it again as this flickered Leonin Arbiter returns as a new Leonin Arbiter.

Aether Vial + Tidehollow Sculler

Tidehollow Sculler is a good card. It's a very good card because it synergizes with vial. You can treat it like a discard spell. The main benefit comes from possibly being an instant speed discard spell that can grab any nonland card with the main drawback being it is susceptible to removal.
