Ever since I have bought the BFZ event deck, aristocrats has always been my favorite to play in standard so I am keeping it alive with my second favorite ability, +1/+1 counters! Here's how the deck works, you have five different card types that do different jobs in the game.

There is the first type called the bait which is what you will use to make trades in combat or sacrifice for benefits when it dies. The bait in the deck are 4x Ornithopter so you can get some 0 mana cost sacrifice fuel then there are 3x Walking Balista's so you can just drain the counters on it for damage then you have other creatures benefit on that creatures death, we will get to those creatures soon enough.

The second type of card in this deck is the one that makes you sacrifice your creatures for benefits and we call these cards executioners, for example Angelic Purge which makes you sacrifice a creature but you get to exile an artifact, enchantment, or creature that they control. The executioners in this deck are 1x Angelic Purge 1x Bone Splinters 1x Eldritch Evolution 1x Eliminate the Competition 3x Westvale Abbey 1x Yahenni, Undying Partisan.

The third type of cards are the reapers which benefit off of your creatures dying. These guys for example Zulaport Cutthroat (best card in the deck) which states that whenever a creature you control dies, you gain 1 life and each opponent loses 1 life. Cards like that can be very powerful if you sacrifice many creatures at once using cards like Westvale Abbey that makes you sacrifice 5 creatures then you get a 9/7 flyer with lifelink, haste, and indestructible, pretty mind blowing right? The reapers in this deck are 4x Zulaport Cutthroat 2x Catacomb Sifter 2x Marionette Master.

The fourth card type in this deck both have the abilities of executioners making you sacrifice your guys but they are also reapers as in they benefit repeatedly off of your creature's deaths for example Pious Exangel, this card makes you sacrifice a creature for 2 mana then the Evangel transforms to another Zulaport Cutthroat but has a power and toughness of 2/4. The executioner reapers in this deck are 3x Pious Evangel and 1x Hidden Stockpile

The fifth type of cards in this deck are the ones that just are plain power and removal for example, Anguished Unmaking that exiles anything but a land, verdurous Gearhulk which buffs your creatures with counters, and Cryptolith Rite that makes your creatures able to make mana for mana fixing and/or ramp. The power cards in this deck are 3x Cryptolith Rite 2x Anguished Unmaking 2x Animation Module 2x Fatal Push (Love this card:3) 1x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar 1x Nissa, Voice of Zendikar 1x Rishkar, Peema Rengade and 1x Verdurous Gearhulk.

Hope you love this deck as much as I do, please hit the Up-vote button if you think this deck is tournament worthy!
