This deck is for everybody who looked at the text "When you sacrifice this" on the Ordeals and wondered what else would be fun to sacrifice them with.
Card Notes
Turn 1 Clockwork Beetle can make an Ordeal go off on turn 2 to start the ball rolling.
Most kills will involve looping Rancor with all your green mana to make Auratog a huge trampler, since otherwise you just get chump blocked.
Average kill is around turn 5, but you can spike a turn 4 reasonably often:
Turn 1 - G/W dual, Clockwork Beetle
Turn 2 - Green dual, Ordeal of Nylea on Clockwork Beetle, swing for 3 + fetch two Forests
Turn 3 - Auratog, any Ordeal, swing for 2
Turn 4 - Rancor, sac Rancor (4/4), Rancor, sac Rancor (6/6), Rancor, sac Rancor (8/8), Rancor (10/8), swing (11/9), sac Ordeal (13/11), hit for 14 (including the Clockwork Beetle)
Changing the Deck
It might be correct to go down a Plains or the Sunpetal Grove to run another basic Forest, since getting green mana to loop Rancor is pretty important for fast kills.
To de-power the Rancor loop for a particularly casual group, sub in Audacity for Rancor.
Fetch/shock mana base would be a lot better.
Cheaper removal, or stronger 3 mana removal. Stay on enchantments so that you can sac them after blocks to pump the Auratog:
Shave a few of the Ordeals to run some protection. Gatherer of Graces can protect itself, but the actual damage loop relies on a creature with no protection or evasion:
For the best version of the deck, sub out everything except Rancor, Curious Obsession, and half the lands, and just play Bogles instead.
