When I started this deck, it was called Ten Minutes on Your End Step I was excited to use Arjun, the Shifting Flame as a chaotic combo commander. I made the deck, and edited it some. Everything was great. Then, I listened to a Podcast called Tap Tap Concede by LoadingReadyRun. They were talking about Commander 2015 and said that Mindmoil turned Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind into an Orbital Laser then, I thought. If Niv is a Orbital Space Laser, I wonder what that makes Psychosis Crawler? Without further ado, Orbital Space Laser v1.
What Options do we have for weapons?
Orbital Space Laser: Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind Arjun, a 7 card hand, and 3 spells turns Niv into 21 Damage pointed wherever you want. Possibly more, because of how many spells draw you cards. Niv even triggers well off of cards like Faithless Looting and Brainstorm
Dr. Device: Psychosis Crawler If anyone has read Ender's Game, that's what this card does. Draw 40 cards, and game over, for everyone. It's also gonna be a big creature so...yeah.
The Drill Sargent:Young Pyromancer and Talrand, Sky Summoner These guys spit out dudes like nobody's business. They will spray soldiers onto the board to win you the game.
The Time Bomb:Laboratory Maniac With Arjun, this is just a ticking time bomb. Eventually, you will win. Accelerating the win is useful.
Rocket Launcher:Nivix Cyclops and Charmbreaker Devils Turn into absolute monsters when Arjun triggers 5 or 6 times in a turn. They are a more forcible way to kill people than say, an Orbital Death Laser
AWP Sniper Rifle:Sphinx-Bone Wand Absolutely wrecks people, turn after turn, getting worse and worse. When the counters stack up, you can start going to the dome with it for a headshot.
A Big Stick:Diviner's Wand Even if you can only draw 16 cards, you can kill someone with commander damage doing this. A less fancy, old-fashioned whuppin.
A Computer Virus:Assault Suit Give Arjun, the Shifting Flame to your opponent, and watch their plans crumble to dust. They MUST draw a new hand anytime they do anything. Disgusting, and utterly evil. Probably my 2nd favorite weapon behind the ORBITAL SPACE LASER
Information Broker:Jace's Archivist Helps us get weapons and ammunition based on our opponent's plans. If they have lots of cards, so will we.
Arms Dealer:Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar He helps us get whatever we need, whether it's Weapons or ammunition. Also, he is sometimes helped by Treasure Mage
The Beast:Chasm Skulker Have you ever seen Sandlot? If not, something is wrong with you. Also, thats what this guy is. He's the beast.
Watch the World Burn:Guttersnipe That's all he wants to watch. Read his flavor text.
Bioengineered Diseases:Sphinx's Tutelage Slowly wear away our opponents from the inside. Then, we destroy them.
The Weird One:Melek, Izzet Paragon Double all your spells off the top. What else can you ask for? This guy is an Izzet Masterpiece!
Sometimes, an Orbital Space Laser isn't enough. Sometimes you need additional modifiers for your weapons. Each modifier has a code name, and some are clever.
Vector:Thought Reflection and Alhammarret's Archive These cards are called Vector because they have both Direction and Magnitude. (That's another reference if you missed it) They put you in the direction of victory in an amazing way. Let's just double the number of cards drawn off of Arjun, the Shifting Flame
Cheap Magic 8 Ball:Jace's Sanctum, Arcane Melee, and Eyes of the Watcher These cards do two things, make things cheaper, and help tell the future. Same as a cheap Magic 8 Ball.
The Recycling Machines:Cast Through Time and Spellweaver Volute They help you recycle ammunition and reuse it. Yes, it can be only reused once, but often that's enough to win.
The Filing Cabinet:Archmage Ascension Lets us get whatever we want out of our deck, just like a filing cabinet.
Straight Gas:Mind Unbound If we already weren't drawing enough cardshere you go.
You have to have financial supporters of course:Izzet Signet, Izzet Cluestone, Thought Vessel, Sol Ring
