Description

Swarms of huge faeries with a side dish of infinite mill, designed for 1v1 edh. This is the 2nd EDH deck I've ever made, so I'm still slightly unsure of how well this will work and all help is gratefully accepted. So far it seems to have played reasonably well, I've won most of the games I've played with it in a local competition and am currently in the top 5. I know this is an unusual style for an Oona deck, but I find it quite fun and effective.

Did you decide not to use Wydwen, the Biting Gale ? I love Faerie decks. I wish Wizards would use faeries more in future sets. And not the faeries that have appeared here and there in recent sets, but more like the Lorwyn/Shadowmoor type. Anyway, love the deck, +1 from me. :)

Thanks guys :) and PriestessKikyo1, Wydwen, the Biting Gale was left out because, though she's a very cool, flavourful card, I find she works better as a commander, and I don't want to switch from Oona, Queen of the Fae . Also, her bounce is kinda expensive, and now that damage isn't stacked she's been a bit nerfed. And I have no idea what I'd take out to put her in. Thanks for the suggestion though :) If only she had an enter the battlefield effect, then she'd be right in there.

Unfortunately, Bitterblossom is out of my budget at the moment, though it will possibly go in once I have some more money, along with Vendilion Clique. Thanks for viewing & commenting :)

...Did you just do a Gatherer search for Faerie and stick a bunch of them in there? Oona is a combo general, not an aggro general.

Siyanor were you trying to be rude? 'Cause if you were trying to be helpful, that really wasn't very constructive. No I didn't, I've put a lot of effort into making this a fun, flavourful deck, that is still pretty good at winning. I'm currently in the top 5 with this deck on week 6 of an 8 week tournament. There is more than one way to play a general, sorry for trying something a bit different. If you want to offer any actual advice, like cards to put in or suggestions to take out, feel free, as I am aware the deck is still far from perfect.

K. I suggest you take out all of the Faeries that aren't Oona or Sower and add in cards that help you deck your opponent out with Oona's activated ability.

Ok, thanks, I'll bear that in mind :) sorry I was so defensive in my last post, bad day, being over-sensitive and all that. I'll definitely have a look at trying that build again, but to be honest I think Oona is really fun as a swarm general with infinite mill as a side note. It is very funny to surprise people and watch their face as you swing at them with an army of 10/10 or similar faeries. :DThis isn't actually the current form of the deck, I just haven't had a chance to change it yet. It has quite a few more funny faerie buffing spells like Door of Destinies and all the non-infinite mill has come out.

Respect for the change up of classical edh-commanders. Going based off the fun idea..... Wonder Cavern of Souls Rite of Replication Followed Footstepsjust some fun additions to consider :)

but I like the concept :) +1

Really cool deck. I'm a big Faery fan too.

I like how you kept to a theme. It may not be as effective as other Oona decks, but part of magic is enjoying the cards not just spiking other players.

Besides, you can always trade out cards in this deck if you want to combo someone to death, and then swap again when you want a lighter game.

+1 Keep the theme decks coming!
