The Cycle Continues —July 9, 2015

My first somewhat popular deck on the sight, now with new cards! I was on the most boring ratio in the world before, 20 creatures, 20 lands, 20 other, and everything in groups of 4. It was at my local shop when I saw the card Breakthrough that I thought, hey, maybe it's time for me to make my Squid Deck a bit more fancy.

I think I've done just that. Free Cycling up the butt, at the unfortunate cost of raising the deck's price by $10. Oh well, it runs a lot faster now.

Perhaps 1 or 2 Treasure Cruise might be of interest for you.

No idea how I forgot about that card, wisegreenbean. I'm not sure if my deck has the graveyard filling speed needed to make the most of it, but I'll certainly playtest Treasure Cruise and see how it works. Thanks!

why not Baleful Strix instead of Street Wraith seeing as this is a legacy deck? gives you the same draw but puts a flying/deathtouch on the board for much cheaper.

The main reason I'm using Street Wraith is because its cycle effect doesn't cost any mana. Adds more speed, gives me a counter, and all without having to tap anything. I do like that Baleful Strix, but not for this deck; there are a lot of cards that let me draw more for the same mana cost. I appreciate the suggestion, though.

Hello, I have been looking at this deck for a while and I believe that Treasure Cruise is a very good addition, maybe take out an Inkfathom Witch, because all it does is give the thing fear. Keep it in, because it does help sometimes.
