ooops my actual sideboard contains Naturalize and Oxidize

May 23, 2013 5:46 a.m.

Your actual Sideboard is five cards in the side of illegality

May 23, 2013 5:53 a.m.

Maybe Alpha Authority for protection and better attacks?

have that on maybeboard already, but i'm not sure if it's worth the 2 mana since i need to get that off right after playing the Wild Beastmaster

May 26, 2013 6:17 a.m.

Oops, sorry, my bad.

Well, Ranger's Guile is as cheap as possible, and you've got that sided in already, so... yeah. That's the only Hexproof-giving one mana spell in Modern I think. Not sure what else would be suitable.

And what about Vines of Vastwood ? They give you control, protection and bumping if you pay the cheap kicker cost. I think Vines of Vastwood is a must be in most green decks. Great Deck. +1

this is exactly what i was looking for, thanks alot!

May 28, 2013 4:24 a.m.

how about Signal Pest

By the way, if your opponent Tragic Slip s your wild beastmaster in response to its attack trigger, your whole team gets -12/-12 (presuming the beastmaster was unplumbed, and the slip had morbid).

that could be the final replacement for Memnite which i was looking for!since the rest of the deck is pretty much optimized and the only alternative i had for Memnite was Talara's Battalion which only functions well with Burning-Tree Emissary and this is just too much luck dependant.although i can choose to trigger the ability of Signal Pest last to get it twice in combination with Wild Beastmaster .. that pretty much compensates for the dps loss in comparison to Talara's Battalion

good suggestion, i'm gonna test it!

k1rbz says... #13

@PotatoPi: that's true but chances are fairly nonexistent, especially because i usually run atleast 6 hexproof instants against control decks

May 30, 2013 7:44 a.m.

Problem is though, you seem to downright lack a plan B for round 2. See, whoever it is youre playing against, chances are hes sideboarding your 15 worst nightmares for the second game.

And imo, thats essentially why all-ins are so vulnerable.

Rite of Consumption style spells may be what you're looking for.

Sideboard your removal in and test your list against this. It's my MDN main.

@ incredibruhahaha:I see what you mean, and i can't argue...but anyways i believe this deck is fun to play and at the same time there are several matchups, it'll be in a pretty decent position.

I playtested mine against your's and yes.. my decklist lost the best of 3 with 1 win and 2 loses, however to make that deck function against such decks probably needs a general overhaul and that's not my intention because i'm quite happy with the deck how it is right now :)there won't ever be a deck with a guaranteed win chance :D

So, I just registered for the sole purpose of letting you know that Avoid Fate is pretty much the card you're looking for to keep anything from being countered :D

Hope that helps!!

k1rbz says... #17

glad to hear that :D and i like the card, it's probably getting a place in my sideboard but i have to test it first. sadly it doesn't synergize with Wild Defiance

You wouldn't need it unless you were playing a deck with counters in all honesty, but it sure beats having to draw until you find another beastmaster

Canopy Cover is a great card for protection and getting damage in.

I use Apostle's Blessing very often to save creatures from targeted removal and also bypassing blockers, especially with these "combo" decks.

You really need a way to make sure you get a Wild Beastmaster . If you don't draw it, you are kinda screwed. Maybe something like Overwhelming Stampede as an alt-win?

June 6, 2013 10:22 a.m.

k1rbz says... #22

i like Apostle's Blessing , thanks for that!
however Overwhelming Stampede doesn't fit in my concept it could eat one of my fairly needed starting hand slots and i won't be able to play it until turn 5/6.. but i consider making room for one or two Revenge of the Hunted because if it's not on my starting hand i can suddenly turn one game around just by drawing it without losing too much options for the rest of the turn.

your running modern.....so i was so confusd when NOONE talked about Lightning Greaves

June 15, 2013 11:34 p.m.

k1rbz says... #24

probably because shroud at sorcery speed is literally doing nothing for me :(
see if i protect my Wild Beastmaster with greaves, i cant pump him, now if i unequip and pump, my opponent get's the chance to react.. so it's actually doing nothing for me

June 16, 2013 9:42 a.m.

Sainted says... #25

your opponenet already knows your going to pump him.
