One squirrel, two squirrels, 6mil squirrels

Casual Aggro Infinite Combo Mono-Green Theme/Gimmick Tokens Tribal

Infral

Description

How to play Squirrels!:

Play a Squirrel.

Then look at it, then look at your opponent.

Play another squirrel and another.

Then you wait for 2 seconds and play your fourth squirrel.

And for the final, play 6mil squirrels and steal your opponent's pride and then his nuts!

I wish this card was real!!!

Updates

Ooooooooh, we finally hit 1000 upvotes. Thank you all so much for liking this deck, no matter what deck I make, will this one always be my favorite.

Now, if Wizards would just make some more squirrels, then that would be amazing. Once again, thank you all for your support <3!

guys stop suggesting parallel lives he knows stop trolling it does no good he cant make the same amount of tokens either way no point wasting card slots when its just gonna sit in his hand

November 4, 2015 4:45 p.m.

hark says... #2

and that goes for doubling season too

November 4, 2015 4:49 p.m.

Infral says... #3

Exactly, and the only reason why I'd use cards like Parallel Lives or Doubling Season, is in case of people get butthurt that I use a card that is only legal in Vintage ( Earthcraft ), so I swap it out with either of the before mentioned cards. Besides that, will I never use 'em.

more squirrels tho

Cedarz says... #5

Tromokratis + Druid's call + darksteel plate

November 4, 2015 7:09 p.m.

hark says... #6

anyway im not recommending or any thing but why is Doubling Season more expensive than Parallel Lives

November 4, 2015 8:36 p.m.

Cedarz says... #7

because it also adds more counters on a permanent so +1/+1 = +2/+2 and quest for the Gravelord would work faster

November 5, 2015 9:31 a.m.

Cedarz says... #8

I think that is why

November 5, 2015 9:32 a.m.

Infral says... #9

Cedarz: Too many cards of said combo worn't be that effective in the deck, and drawing on 'em with without the rest will just be bad.

hark: And also Doubling Season is worth more because it also makes all Planeswalkers stronger as their Loyality counts as counters, they enter with double their coutners and get a whole bunch back when they use their abilities.

November 6, 2015 5:01 a.m.

hark says... #10

ohh wait not Parallel Lives I ment Primal Vigor

November 6, 2015 4:51 p.m.

hark says... #11

so sorry

November 6, 2015 4:51 p.m.

Infral says... #12

hark: The reason why is because Primal Vigor works for the opponent as well, which is something you don't really want, except if you're doing some group hug shenanigans in EDH. c:

BainbridgeYew says... #14

Hmm. Six million squirrel creature tokens vs. one Whelming Wave. Not good for the former. And, wow. A 1/1 squirrel is just as powerful as a 1/1 fully trained soldier. WE NEED YOU FOR THE US ARMY.*

In a tight spot, a squirrel will do just fine. Demotivating.

November 28, 2015 12:06 a.m.

BainbridgeYew says... #15

That planeswalker... sorry, but NO WAY Wizards would print it. One word: Selesnya. I can see Wizards printing it as a sort of parody of Nissa Revane. Of course, maybe for a bit more mana. They sould be more receptive to squirrels if people played them more often. My squirrel deck: Suffer the little creatures- A squirrel deck

November 28, 2015 12:17 a.m.

Infral says... #16

BainbridgeYew: In response to you casting Whelming Wave would I just tap a squirrel to untap the land enchanted with Squirrel Nest, let your spell resolve, then after everything has been returned to the hands, then I'll tap the forest for a 1/1 squirrel token and then create my army of squirrels once again. Easiest way to counter this combo is to just destroy the enchantments before I activate 'em. c:

November 28, 2015 3:38 p.m.

hark says... #17

is there any removal that can kill these invincible squirrels

November 28, 2015 6:03 p.m.

BainbridgeYew says... #18

@ Infral: Sorry. I ment something like Wrath of God.

BainbridgeYew says... #19

I meant Tragic Arrogance.

November 29, 2015 1:01 p.m.

Infral says... #20

BainbridgeYew: Wouldn't it just be easier to use a Naturalize on one of my combo pieces before I can activate 'em? That way wouldn't you hurt yourself too with a Tragic Arrogance c:

November 29, 2015 4:57 p.m.

hark says... #21

ok so that's a way to win but what happens if your opponent is agro and wins before your combo is there any counter im trying to see how the deck does against faster decks and I really cant do that on tapped out

November 29, 2015 9:24 p.m.

Infral says... #22

This deck fails quite a lot against faster decks, as it usually takes about 3-5 turns to work, but don't underestimate this deck without it's combo. a Deranged Hermit can still be quite the threat, especially for aggro based decks.

November 30, 2015 5:42 p.m.

I love the fact that 6 Million squirrels is actually possible due to the infinite combo in the deck.

Only 2 Swarmyards? (p.s I'm sorry if someone has already said this; I just don't want to wade through 143 other comments right now).

March 19, 2016 4:37 p.m.

theConspiracy says... #32

By the way, you should play with the idea of a curve in mind.

March 19, 2016 4:38 p.m.

Infral says... #33

I don't feel that more than 2 swarmyards does make a big difference, also, I only have 2, they're somewhat hard to find as barely anyone have 'em.

March 22, 2016 7:16 a.m.

TheRedGoat says... #34

Any thoughts on why someone might be seeing the cards all read as "Dingus Egg" and not the actual card?

March 22, 2016 8:58 p.m.

Infral says... #35

TheRedGoat: It seems like it's like that on most decks on the site at moment, maybe a dev joke of sorts?

March 22, 2016 9:09 p.m.

enpc says... #36

With so many enchantments, have you considered either Argothian Enchantress or Eidolon of Blossoms?

March 22, 2016 11:13 p.m.

Infral says... #37

I really don't think there is enough enchantments to run those cards properly.

March 23, 2016 7:38 a.m.

CChaos says... #38

This deck needs more squirrels.

April 4, 2016 7:01 a.m.

Infral says... #39

There sadly aren't more squirrels that is worth using. Cards like Liege of the Hollows, Nantuko Shrine and Acorn Catapult simply doesn't cut it, I dont' want my opponents to be the ones with my mighty squirrels! And then there is Krosan Beast, but he sadly worn't last long and it does take time to build up the threshold.

April 4, 2016 7:14 a.m.

Wurmlover says... #40

this might just be me being stupid, but where is the infinite combo in this? you also need Doubling Season

April 4, 2016 6:32 p.m.

Infral says... #41

Wurmlover: The infinite combo is in Earthcraft and Squirrel Nest, Tap land to make a squirrel, tap squirrel with Earthcraft to untap land with the Squirrel Nest and repeat. c:

Doubling Season is not worth it in this deck, it's also very boring and don't offer anything else, I'd rather use Parallel Lives which I have in the sideboard if people want me to swap out the Earthcraft as it's banned in legacy and restricted in vintage.

April 4, 2016 6:42 p.m.

Wurmlover says... #42

don't tokens have summoning sickness? are they allowed to tap?

April 4, 2016 6:44 p.m.

Infral says... #43

Wurmlover: Yes, the squirrels have summoning sickness, but they're still untapped. Earthcraft doesn't care if they have summoning sickness or not, as long it can just tap 'em. Now, if the squirrels had a tap effect on 'em saying "Tap this to untap a land", then the combo wouldn't work, but as Earthcraft is the one tapping 'em, is there no problem c:

I run at least one copy of Power Matrix in my squirrel deck. Having a flying, first strike and trample squirrel mob coming at you is awesome. Get's around cards like crawl space.

Konshock says... #48

Have you considered putting a Green Sun's Zenith in this deck? And have you done the math for how much this deck would cost?

June 26, 2016 10:16 a.m.

Infral says... #49

I already own all the cards, got 'em a loooooong time ago, so I can't really remember how much I spend on it, but it does show the pricing up in right side of the deck. And I don't really own a Green Sun's Zenith but it surely could be a good card in this deck, for a more surprise Deranged Hermit or something c:

June 26, 2016 6:42 p.m.

Namur_Ramur says... #50

I know your deck doesn't really need it, but you could try to sneak in a Form of the Squirrel I imagine you would already have some buff squirrels and the ability to spawn them without spells and then you can avoid any counter spells or surprise attacks from the air. Plus it would be pretty cool if you just embraced the squirrel and took the Form of the Squirrel.

July 5, 2016 4:23 p.m.

Infral says... #51

Namur_Ramur: Oh trust me, I used to have that card in the deck and I still have a copy laying around just in case. c:

July 5, 2016 5:41 p.m.

Smoigh says... #52

I gotta say this deck would drive me nuts! Anyway, squirrel puns aside, I must say I like how the deck plays overall, rather than just sitting around for a combo. Also, the Vigor in your deck is a nice touch.

Quinnagin27 says... #53

So my friends are saying don't get this deck because it is waste of money and i really like it and i want to build my own but idk is it really worth a squirrel deck?

July 24, 2016 3:06 a.m.

Infral says... #54

Quinnagin27: I personally love it, but to be honest, I don't really play with it that much as one of the things that makes this deck good, is a card that is banned in Legacy and restricted in Vintage ( I'm looking at you, Earthcraft ). It all really depends on how you want to play, are you going pure casual? Aiming to do more serious play? If you're in the latter, then this deck might not be worth it c:

hark says... #55

is a million squirrels worth it why wouldn't it be

July 26, 2016 5:46 p.m.

Infral says... #56

Millions of squirrels is always worth it. The deck is still good even without Earthcraft and if anyone complains about it, then just swap it out with a Parallel Lives. It really hurts the opponent when you play a Parallel Lives and then follow it up with a Deranged Hermit

Bro, I like your deck. It's one of the earliest squirrel decks on this site, and it definitely deserves the 1000+ upvotes it has received. That being said, I still think it could use a bit more developing. Maybe adding/replacing a few card to make it legal for tournament play while still supporting the idea of infinite squirrels. I've got a maybeboard full of potential modifications on my squirrel deck, if you want to check it out (Squirrel Deck). In the meantime, you could consider adding in a Folk Medicine to your deck. It's cheap and it's an instant, so it can be used in case your opponent pulls out a 25/25 with forestwalk.
