One Seriously Conflicted Ooze

Creature (1)

Thanks for taking the time to view my Seriously Conflicted Ooze Deck. As a fairly new player to MTG, this was the first EDH deck that I created on my own. Every game plays out quite differently, which is on theme for this T-Rex-armed blob struggling through an identity crisis.

There are 3 main win conditions for this deck:

WinCon 1. Mill Strategy: There are a large number of cards that will jump start this strategy...best targets are Traumatize, Jace, Memory Adept and Mesmeric Orb. Once the majority of your opponents decks are in their graveyards, Mind Grind and Mind Funeral can likely finish the job. Additional support for this strategy comes from several creatures who force players to mill at upkeep or when dealt damage. As an added bonus, many creatures are based off total # of cards in all graveyards, so Phenax, God of Deception and Altar of Dementia can eliminate opponents when combined with Consuming Aberration, Lord of Extinction, or any of 5 other creatures that scale off the number or cards/creatures in graveyards. If this strategy does not win outright, it definitely fuels your other win conditions.

WinCon 2. Overwhelm your opponent with really big creatures: The deck is full of fatties that synergize with WinCon 1, but often the best cards come from your opponents' graveyards using Coffin Queen, Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni, or Sepulchral Primordial, or can be copied with one of seven clone-like effects.

Wincon 3. Voltron Strategy by copying any of the WinCon 1 creatures and swinging The Mimeoplasm for the win. Bonehoard and Nighthowler when attached to any creature mid to late game allows you to potentially swing for lethal damage against multiple opponents. If your opponents have a solid defense, then you can utilize the Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord ability to unilaterally end the game.

The above 3 WinCons all complement each other, so you do not have to choose one...just turn cards sideways and see which one plays out.

Bonus WinCon: After a long game of milling your opponents into submission, Rise of the Dark Realms is sure to get you a few groans, laughs, and/or scoops shortly after being played.

Current playgroup discourages infinite combos so I have not built any into this deck.

The deck is somewhat of a budget build, but I appreciate any recommendations you may have that will improve the deck or add to it's flavor.

If you like the deck, vote it +1.

Thanks for reading.
