On the Mushroom Plan! [[Primer]]

Brawl

kryptobrodie

Slimefoot tokens and removal.

This deck idea started when I got to play Slimefoot in a Domineria league. I was able to make an entire deck around saprolings. I have made a tree deck that was a lot of fun but this is even more of a blast. being able to sac a saproling to draw a card and have Slimfoot trigger is a blast.

Standard seems fun and all, a lot of people enjoy it, but it's not necessarily for me. I don't like the idea of building a deck (spending a fair bit of money on it) only for it to become obsolete. I am mainly an EDH player. Brawl seemed like a really cool format, but with the standard rotation it would suck even more for your commander to get phased out. We will all see if this format will stick around or fall apart like Tiny Leaders. In the mean time this is my second build and the one I am most excited about.

On to the deck....

Slimfoot give access to great creatures and removal(For Now).

Lets start with the Mana ramp. We are in and with the reprint of Llanowar Elves We can get cheap early game ramp on the field. Pair this up with Channeler Initiate and Drover of the Mighty you have a solid base. I have also included Gilded Lotus Thaumatic Compass   and The Immortal Sun. I feel like these are almost auto includes to most Brawl decks.

Saprolings

Slimefoot, the Stowaway Your commander and the heart of the deck. being able to drop a saproling in with that extra mana late game to block and then drain them for life is priceless. Even better is when you have a good size board of tokens and the no one wants to attack you because of Slimefoots ability.

Metallic Mimic naming Saproling just makes everything bigger and when you add in Path of Discovery or Sporecrown Thallid making your 1/1 Saprolings more like 3/3.

Tendershoot Dryad & Verdant Force Really can you go wrong with more tokens and a buff... The answer is NO

Thallid Omnivore & Thallid Soothsayer are just great sac outlets and are able to buff or draw you cards. I mean really who dosn't like to draw cards.

Non-Saprolings

These creatures are just all good value. Fliers, Removal, Drawing cards and Big threats. The one I do want to point out is Oviya Pashiri, Sage Lifecrafter. I have had this questioned and I belive this to be powerfull in any token deck. That or just a great mana sink for late game. Really a 10/10 for 4 its amazing.

Spells

Most of these are just good removal like Fatal Push but then you have some game winning pieces like Revel in Riches paired with Pitiless Plunderer. This is when you wish for someone to board wipe you so you can win on your upkeep.

Wrap Up

This Brawl deck has not been fully tested yet and will need some revisions once I am able to play some more games. Let me know if there is any thing I have missed and any suggestions would be great.

Thank you for checking out the deck and if you like it please upvote!
