Omnath, Locus of Mana EDH

Description

Elves! Mana! Permanents!

Not a lot of tricks, just a big fast beatdown. The lack of instants and sorceries is mainly to help Primal Surge , which is usually an immediate win if it resolves, just like Genesis Wave .

Elves are the mana dorks that ramp early game, letting you play big bombs early.

Protection artifacts keep Omnath alive to protect your stockpile of mana.

Mana multipliers like Mana Reflection and Doubling Cube make your mana skyrocket, which lets you use Slate of Ancestry , Genesis Wave and Primal Surge to put as much of your library as possible on the table as fast as possible.

R.I.P. Primeval Titan >:(

Acquireboard:
1x Crucible of Worlds
1x Lotus Cobra

Thanks, I love the way this deck plays. I ramp up mana reeeeally fast. I can usually get to 6 or 7 mana by turn 3. Being mono-green, I'm usually lacking on creature removal, but it makes up for it by putting out really big creatures quickly.

I checked out yours and decided to put in Kozilek, Butcher of TruthMTG Card: Kozilek, Butcher of Truth and TerastodonMTG Card: Terastodon in place of Copperhorn ScoutMTG Card: Copperhorn Scout and PrimalcruxMTG Card: Primalcrux.

You should definitely add Genesis WaveMTG Card: Genesis Wave. I've put my entire library out on the battlefield in several games. And with all the mana multipliers I have I've almost always ended up with more mana than I spent on the wave.

Wolfbriar ElementalMTG Card: Wolfbriar Elemental might be a good addition. I was thinking of taking out Joraga WarcallerMTG Card: Joraga Warcaller since his kicker ability is rarely that useful. I'm almost always tapping out my elves for mana or other abilities, so pumping them all up wasn't that good. Getting a whole mess of 2/2 tokens instead would be nasty.

I also took out RancorMTG Card: Rancor for Eldrazi ConscriptionMTG Card: Eldrazi Conscription. I almost always have the extra 7 mana to spend on it, and it's sooo much better. Giant Omnath with annihilator 2? Yes plz.

I also took out Evolution CharmMTG Card: Evolution Charm for Feldon's CaneMTG Card: Feldon's Cane for when I need to get back all the cards that got put in the gy by Genesis WaveMTG Card: Genesis Wave or that I had to discard because I drew too many.

I had a deck where I used defenders to ramp with Overgrown BattlementMTG Card: Overgrown Battlement in zendikar then would lay down a Engulfing SlagwurmMTG Card: Engulfing Slagwurm with LureMTG Card: Lure and [[wolfbriar elemental] next turn OverrunMTG Card: Overrun for each wolf as a 5/5 trample. On that note I would suggest Engulfing SlagwurmMTG Card: Engulfing Slagwurm just because once he hits the field and they don't have an answer for him he can wreck a field. Another useful addition if you find yourself with an excess of mana is Untamed MightMTG Card: Untamed Might can turn that ONE creature that gets through into a instant kill.
