Omnath, Locus of Mana - 1v1 Commander

1v1 Commander Competitive Ramp

Sneaco

Maybeboard

Introduction

This deck started as a wip casual EDH. Than, I've learned that a local store would host a tournament using the MTGO 1v1 Commander rules, so... Here it is now, with a fresh coat of paint!

Using a few lists and online discussions as a guideline, I did my best to come up with something suitable for a competitive environment. Being my first serious deck of this, I hope I've avoided including taps such as too-casual/win-more cards.

I'm open to suggestions! If I've missed anything or something shouldn't be here, tell me. While I'm on a "budget", feel free to make suggestions regardless of the price: I'm always curious to learn about good strategies.

Updates Add

No tournaments this month, sadly. However, here are some tweaks to the deck list:

Upgrade

Out

3x Forest

Ant Queen

In

Maze of Ith

Masked Admirers

Surrak, the Hunt Caller

Void Winnower

I decided to lower the land count because, well... this is a ramp deck and I'm confident with how mana base performs. Might get away with even less lands. We'll see!

Was able to get a copy of Maze of Ith and included it as a tool that can be fetched by Crop Rotation or Primeval Titan.

Masked Admirers is here as resilient creature. Relevant creature type and draws you a card. We'll see how it performs!

Lastly, I've noticed that while I'm running Birthing Pod, there's a gap between the 8 cmc creatures and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger. I want bridge that gap with Void Winnower, which was the only interesting 9 cmc creature I could find. Is it even necessary? Guess I'll find out eventually.

Lastly, Surrak, the Hunt Caller makes a comeback because giving haste to a big fatty is just too good to pass on.
