How do you feel about Champion of Lambholt? I think it might be better to trample over and kill the enemy creatures, but it could help get lethal through occasionally.

I actually love that card and ran it in the deck up until recently. I took it out for Tajuru Preserver only because in my playgroup I make the biggest creatures, so getting through isn't a problem. However we have quite a few zombie and vampire decks that like tovrun things like gravepact and it was really screwing my board state. Also, with the additions of Heroic Intervention and Winds of Qal Sisma, I don't have to worry about deathtouch or any other surprises that will affect my creatures in combat.

I dont have huge expertise with this sort of deck, but Omnath, Locus of Mana and Triumph of the Hordes seem really good

Thanks for the input! Someone had mentioned Omnath awhile back, and I choose not to run him only because I want prove mono green can be a beast without the giant mana crutch. As for Triumph of the Hordes, I want to keep this deck old fashioned and just maul through everyone with pure damage.

Really like the deck! Have you thought of Polukranos, World Eater? He can be a board wipe and there's nothing better at "mauling through your opponents with pure damage" than a 5/5 for 4 mana.

I haven't. I'll have to playtest him out and see if I like. Thanks for the suggestion!

I have a sort of (incredibly) poor-man's version of this deck with Yisan, the Wanderer Bard as my commander. I search out ramp creatures like Llanowar Elves or Whisperer of the Wilds with him, use either him or ramp to bring out big creatures, and use fighting with things like Savage Punch or Ulvenwald Tracker as my source of removal.

After sifting through this deck a bit, I wondered if you had any (preferably low cost) mono-green cards you could recommend based on what I'm assuming is a lot of experience and also what you thought of Yisan himself, since it looks like you don't have one. He's done amazing work for me, especially since I got him for free at a random garage sale.

Yisan is a great card, my only problem is that he can only creatures with cmc equal to the number or verse counters, not equal or less. That's the only reason i don't run him. As for some good green cards that are budget friendly, there's a lot. Nacatl War-Pride is one of my favorites. Rampaging Baloths is great, so is Pathbreaker Ibex. Arbor Colossus, Elderscale Wurm, Engulfing Slagwurm, Foe-Razer Regent, Greenwarden of Murasa, Oran-Rief Hydra, Regal Force, Siege Behemoth, Thunderfoot Baloth, Nature's Lore, Skyshroud Claim, Rishkar's Expertise, Selvala's Stampede, Harmonize, any of the Garruk or Nissa planeswalkers that are affordable. There's a bunch more, but I'm tired and need to go to bed. If you need ideas for cards that do specific things that are budget friendly let me know and I'd be happy to help

Half of those are in already, but I'm liking what I see in the other half. I'll see about making room for Thunderfoot Baloth, Selvala's Stampede, Rishkar's Expertise, and Nacatl War-Pride. My main concern with my Yisan deck as it stands right now is that between Yisan, Hibernation's End, Elemental Bond, Garruk's Packleader, etc. I might have a little TOO much draw. However, I'm scared to take any of it out. Some part of my instincts scream whenever I try.

I totally understand that feeling. If you can, throw a decklist at me, and I'll see if i can find anything to help you out. Always love helping a fellow green player!
