Made a few updates with the new set since it had a couple powerhouse green cards.
Dropped:
- Hydra Omnivore - I love this card, but it was time. I don't need it to win, so it was time to move on.
- Myojin of Life's Web - This has increasingly become a dead card in my hand, and since I can't get the divinity counter by cheating it in, I've decided to go a different route in the slot.
- Boundless Realms - An expensive ramp spell that is only great if I have Lotus Cobra or Rampaging Baloths in play, so decided to cut it.
Added:
- Questing Beast - This card is just bonkers and a huge upgrade for the deck.
- The Great Henge - Expensive ramp card, but has an easy cost reduction and provides a static buff with counters and card advantage.
- Patron of the Orochi - Gives my seedborn some backup which is great for Kamahl. Always having open mana in case of a board wipe is good business.
Glad you like it. I'll have to take a look at norwood priestess, thanks for the suggestion.

With the 2019 Commander decks coming out, one of which is morph themed, watch out for Voidmage Apprentice Stratus Dancer and worst of all Kheru Spellsnatcher in response to your K. Grip! Also love all the updates to the deck, it looks great!

Yeah, thanks for the heads up. I've been lucky so far, none of my friends are real big into morph, but this new precons might change that.

Have you tried Temur Sabertooth in the list? I've found it to be a key creature for me for three reasons: protecting my key creatures from board wipes, replaying ETB effects like Eternal Witness , Wood Elves , etc., and mostly important making infinite green mana with Karametra's Acolyte , Priest of Titania , Selvala, Heart of the Wilds with Concordant Crossroads or Lightning Greaves in play.

Can you explain step by step how sabertooth goes infinite? I've heard it before but I dont understand given what you have stated above.

Hey Profet93. Sorry for being vague. So it only goes infinite with a haste enabler and mana dork that can make more than enough mana to bounce it using Temur Sabertooth 's ability and recast itself so you can net more mana every time you tap it. Say Karametra's Acolyte is out and taps for 7 mana. I can bounce it and recast it for 6 mana total, leaving 1 left-over. As long as it has haste, I can do this repeatedly to generate infinite mana.

Sorry for the double-post but the ability to combo is really situational but I a lot of people don't see it coming and I run more redundant pieces like land untappers and Gaea's Cradle , and more elves like Fyndhorn Elves and Elvish Archdruid .

As for your Card Choices and Meta section, Iona, Shield of Emeria is no longer a thing. It was banned.

Maybe you have answered this before, but is there a reason you do not have Omnath, Locus of Mana in the deck? He would be perfect for storing that mana so you can unleash Kamahl with multiple overrun triggers!
And with huge amounts of mana comes the opportunity to use an X costing hydra like Primordial Hydra (my favorite).

Just a preference really. I want to prove that mono green can be good without omnath. And on a small side note, my playgroup would nuke him as soon as I dumped any mana into him, so it's just not worth it to me.

That is a very awesome idea. I've been considering doing a targeted LD package for kamahl for a bit (my friends aren't too thrilled with the idea), if I end up going through with it this will definitely be added in. Thanks for the suggestion.

Thoughts on Thorn Mammoth , Oakhame Adversary , and Kenrith's Transformation ? I'm excited with the new toys we got. Haven't gotten my hands on Questing Beast but I did get The Great Henge as a pack foil at a pre-release. Gonna test that out as well.

I'm gonna test out Kenrith's Transformation for sure, personally I'm not real sold on the other 2. I've never been big on the fight mechanic for this deck, and Ohran Frostfang is leaps and bounds better than Oakhame Adversary . The Great Henge is so good, mine is In the mail. Just need to decide what I'm taking out for it.

So uh The Great Henge + Woodfall Primus + Greater Good happened for me last night and the table instantly scooped after I blew up everything and drew half my deck lol. I know it's not likely to get the pieces together often in mono-green but it was a nasty interaction.

Bookmarked. Glad I found this. I have a Kamahl stuffed away in my binder, and with me being a huge mono green deck fan, and having 80% of the cards, this is simply great. I was running Ezuri Renegade Leader but yours looks more inviting. Thanks for sharing.
The person above my post recommended Quick Silver Amulet. Forget that. Norwood Priestess is imo much better.
