Oloro Autowin Tribal

Commander / EDH WUB (Esper)

This deck is simultaneously the worst deck to play and my pride and joy deck that I will continuously try to upgrade to be even more of a jank build. The big goal with this deck is to not ramp out or quickly build combos, but rather sit back and play the politics of commander to keep your board alive (Which is easier than you would honestly believe - let your opponents make small hits on you early because you are playing Oloro and eventually at least one person will start ramping like crazy into their deck and become the focus, allowing you to sit pretty and slow ramp while you try and help go against them.) However, once you get enough control over your board you can start comboing off like crazy with all of the separate combo pieces in this, with the goal to play at least one major win condition every turn if you play right. It's not an inherently traditional strategy for EDH in the slightest, but for me I fit comfortably in the decks rhythm and I wont try to fight against that fact. You do have some legitimate chances to win with this deck, but worst comes to worst you will usually end up taking second place.

  • Serra Avatar and Wall of Reverence staying on the board for 5 full rotations because I never became the biggest threat on the battlefield

  • Opponent played the Sword of the Meek + Thopter Foundry + Ashnod's Altar combo but they did not have the haste to swing out with the infinite Thopters that were created. On my turn I played Fumigate to kill the infinite Thopters and also gain Infinite life

  • Update 8/27/2019

Removed: Malfunction , Duskmantle Seer , Sanguine Sacrament , Azorious Guildgate

Added: Sun Titan , Magister of Worth , Curse of Vitality , Prairie Stream

Other Changes: Upgraded Swamp to BFZ Full Art copy, Upgraded Irrigated Farmland to Japanese Copy, Upgraded Ajani's Pridemate to Foil

There were not a ton of changes that happened with this deck, but it is a step in a slightly less Janky direction. Malfunction and Sanguine Sacrament never saw play in this deck, and Duskmantle Seer was incredibly fun but was often hurting me more than my opponents. I'm interested to see how Magister of Worth performs in this deck, if anything it currently just serves as a fun political card. Future Upgrades are going to likely lean in harder to the mana base being upgraded, hopefully finishing out the Shocks and getting Fetches into the deck, be it Slow Fetch lands or regular Fetches
