The idea here is incremental life loss for opponents and life gain for myself, with plenty of shenanigans that revolve around these basic components. Plenty of goofy stuff for one shot kills, and lots of deterrence and removal to encourage everyone to leave me alone while I chip away at their life totals before finishing things off. This is a first attempt at building a commander deck from scratch, help is appreciated!

Update Nov 2018

The aim of this deck has evolved somewhat since its first iteration. Currently the plan involves setting up your pillow fort (Ghostly Prison, Crawlspace, etc. + spot removal), and getting some repeatable life gain going to pump up Karlov of the Ghost Council for commander damage, not necessarily in that order. Other than that you have a couple of goofy combos (my favourite being Beacon of Immortality + False Cure ) and a couple of cards that can get out of control if left unchecked and usually end a game (Luminarch Ascension, Crested Sunmare, Aetherflux Reservoir). I’ve left out the well-known Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond combo as it seems too easy to me, especially in a more casual setting, but I’m willing to throw it back in if things start to get more competitive in my usual playgroup.

There are more finely-tuned versions of this deck out there, but I thoroughly enjoy the shenanigans this list is capable of. As always, comments and suggestions are appreciated.
