Want to play merfolk but also want to play a deck people havent seen before? do you just hate the color blue? Do you like decks where a lot of things trigger at once? do you like having life gain and tokens? this deck may be for you. The best part is this deck is this deck can be built for moderately cheap!

The idea is to get an a large army of merfolk that get really big thanks to having multiple ways to buff your creatures and having Summon the School the deck is a budget deck and will be usually played in group games but can hold in 1v1 as well.

Summon the School : my favorite card in the deck. Gets you a bunch of tokens and can be played multiple times based on how many untapped merfolk you have and how much mana you have. In this deck tapping merfolk is often a good thing.

Stonybrook Schoolmaster : every time he attacks or gets tapped he creates a merfolk wizard. goes really well with all the cards that do things when a merfolk comes into play.

Deeproot Elite : Makes your merfolk stronger whenever a merfolk comes into play. This includes tokens and you can spread the counters where you want.

Harpoon Sniper : this card gets more powerul the more merfolk you have out. Your opponent will be afraid of what they attack you with knowing harpoon sniper can snipe it.

Judge of Currents : your creatures are going to tap a lot so this will give you a lot of life. At 2 mana He can also give you a much needed creature in the early game.

Jade Bearer : a nice cheap creature that lets you put a +1+1 counter on any of your creatures. He may not appear a threat on his own but will still trigger a lot of your other merfolk abilities.

Forerunner of the Heralds : This card is going to get really big. Usually used to search for summon the school if you don't already have one in hand but can also search for any creature you need. This card also benefits extra from summon the school as it gets buffed for EACH merfolk.

Lifecrafter's Bestiary : Your card draw for the deck. the scry will filter past what you dont need and will also allow you to draw a lot of cards so you dont run out of fuel.

Path of Discovery : This card will let you draw lands off the top of your deck or buff up your creatures. It also has a built in scry affect. With how many merfolk you will be playing this will activate a lot.

Cryptolith Rite : This card will allow all your merfolk to produce mana. This affect will allow you to cast more spells and if you have a Lifecrafter's Bestiary will allow more card draw. It does have the downside of making your creatures tap so you wont be returning summon the school to your hand as often but is still a strong piece.

Door of Destinies : Every merfolk you play will make your merfolk more powerful. This card also goes well with Summon the School thanks to it being a tribal sorcery.

Second Harvest : this card becomes really strong in the later game when you have an army of tokens on the field. If you are all tapped out from attack or playing Summon the School a lot you can use this card to bring out a surprise army when your opponent attacks you. Only one in the deck as it is not a card that you want in your hand before you get your army out.

Sadly this deck does have some pretty clear weaknesses. This deck has no hard removal and is very vulnerable to board wipes. Hopefully depending on the board wipe you can keep some of you enchantments and artifacts in play so you can rebuild quickly. This deck could easily be splashed with blue to make it even more powerful as a lot of the best merfolk are blue. But i just wanted to make a deck with the 2 other colors of merfolk people wouldn't think of linking together
