Looks good! I've been trying to do something similar myself but I haven't rounded out the deck yet.

In this deck, I'd play more sweepers -- Austere Command seems perfect for your low curve, if you can afford it.

Some Eldritch Moon cards might be good options as well... both halves of Brisela, Voice of Nightmares seem strong with Odric and Selfless Spirit is a must.

Also, where is Sword of Kaldra?! You've got Helm and Shield and equipment tutors, why not play it? I think the Kaldra avatar (and flavor) more than make up for the fact that it doesn't synergize with Odric.

I'd throw in some more ramp staples like Gilded Lotus and Caged Sun, but other than that, I like it! +1 from me.

NotaNetDeck, thanks for the comments and suggestions.

Although, Austere Command is a bit above budget, I am still considering it because I could use it in two other decks as well.

I pulled a Gisela, the Broken Blade at the prerelease so I might as well get Bruna, the Fading Light because Brisela, Voice of Nightmares is just nuts.

Since I have a couple Gilded Lotus and Caged Sun, they will definitely be added if I determine the deck needs more ramp.

I've also been looking to do something with Odric - I like this build! +1

Did you consider Herald of War? Doesn't do much for Odric's power (just flying), but great ramp potential.

And I agree with the comment about Caged Sun, that's a must for me in mono-color.

also, a bit of staple for mono color is snow covered lands and Extraplanar Lens

Mirran Crusader instead of Fencing Ace - Costs 1 more mana for 1 Toughness and useful colour protection.

Emeria, The Sky Ruin - Practically cutting an arm off not having that.

Evolving Wilds - Practically a plains card. It might sound weird for a mono coloured deck but think of it this way: You are technically drawing what could be two land draws (The Plains it transforms into, and the card that it is), and leaving future draws for more useful creatures.

Maybe Darksteel Mutation as removal.

Swords to Plowshares is an amazing removal card, for cheap!

Path to Exile is also an amazing removal card, but costs a little bit more.

With all the equipment you could be dishing out,

Hanweir Militia Captain  Flip would be fun for this deck! Here's mine Odric travels to Theros. Maybe we could share some ideas!

Oh, I forgot to suggest one of the more important cards for this strategy!

Concerted Effort. It's pretty similar to Odric, Lunarch Marshal but the abilities are slightly different (it allows you to take advantage of protection from Mirran Crusader, for instance). The redundancy is actually pretty important, though -- if Odric gets stolen or you can't afford/don't want to cast him anymore, Concerted Effort is great.

Cheers!

Lol. I was referencing Goblin Offensive.

I like the build and the concept of making a more simplified deck for newbies, too bad there isn't a "beginner" hub available.

Heliod, God of the Sun is another provider of indestructible that happens to also give vigilance, even to himself with Odric.

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx great in mono, Secluded Steppe and Drifting Meadow good card draw when you have plenty of lands, Gift of Estates, Strata Scythe good too.

Path to Exile and Pearl Medallion should be in every white deck! Champion's Helm, Lightning Greaves, Mask of Avacyn will help Odric stay alive and in play as the deck is pretty reliant on him and it's no fun when your commander gets hit with a Song of the Dryads or Imprisoned in the Moon. Speaking of which, something like Return to Dust would be useful.

Lastly I don't really like the snow-covered lands, particularly since it's a newbie deck, as it convolutes the concept of basic lands and nothing you play really even needs them.

I'd consider Archetype of Courage to really dig into the other players

Basilisk Collar and Quietus Spike would be a very good idea, as it provides one of the most devastating keywords (in my opinion) to all your creatures.

Trample + Deathtouch = win

Cathars' Crusade, Archangel of ThuneBaneslayer Angel, Sun Titan, Land TaxRhox Faithmender ,Ajani Steadfast, Valorous Stance

Also every form of Gideon is able to trigger indestructibility, but Spirit Bonds is probably easier.

I feel like if we combined decks it would be a serious force to be reckoned with.

Love Odric as a commander. Indestructible + sweepers is a great approach - I'd be booted from the table lol.

Mine focuses on 1/1 tokens, to crowd the board and make a decision not to block impossible. Odriculous SuperHumans [Soldier Tribal]

Anyway - nice build. +1 from me.

Nice deck. From experience, Heliod, God of the Sun is an absolute SAVAGE when paired up with Odric.
