No one is packing enough Artifact hate.

This deck began with wanting a shell for Relic Seeker . I soon learned that his renown is hard to trigger, he can't be cast by two Ally Encampment s, and he doesn't trigger nor act as a cohort to allies. Thus, he has been retired.

In his wake, Stoneforge Acolyte and Makindi Aeronaut take his place. Stoneforge Acolyte improves our curve and allows us to dig for weapons once the board state is ready. Makindi Aeronaut , at first disregarded, is really good in this deck. With a few allies on the field, the lord-like effects of Stone Haven Outfitter, Weapons Trainer , and a Stoneforge Masterwork or two equipped, Makindi Aeronaut becomes a flying battle cruiser.

Expedition Envoy and Makindi Aeronaut are your primary attackers. Unless the way is clear, you want to have Weapons Trainer , Stone Haven Outfitter and Stoneforge Acolyte remain out of combat. This leaves the Trainer and Outfitter online as lords, and leaves the Acolyte and a second ally up in case you need to cohort to find some equipment.

Captain's Claws combos with Weapons Trainer . Attack, and the tokens are 2/1s. With a second Weapons Trainer , they're 3/1s. With more than one Captain's Claws attached to creatures, this quickly becomes a problem.

Stoneforge Masterwork creates threats that need to be answered out of all these innocuous one and two drops. It'll turn a 1/2 into a 4/5 in no time. Your opponent will need to use expensive removal (Crackling Doom, Murderous Cut, Abzan Charm, etc.) ON YOUR ONE DROPS. And once they do, just equip the next one drop!

And savor the flavor of Transgress the Mind whiffing 95% of the time!

Needle Spires, sacking an excess Ally Encampment and Make a Stand gives the deck some solid options late game and hopefully before / sometimes after board wipes.

I've built this on MTGO and have begun testing. This deck can either go tall with Stoneforge Masterwork or wide with Captain's Claws. This deck feels strong now, and very strong after rotation. You can be very aggressive with the right draws, but you can also develop the board state with removal and protection in hand to back you up as you do so.
