(Budget to 50 bucks, 50 cents or less per card, because otherwise ill go nuts optimizing stuff)

Just build for fun and decency, not greatness

I'm running literally every mutate card in Mardu for budget purposes, plus, even if the effect isn't "great", a lot of times it could just be valuable to have a mutate card in hand to mutate something else again that might be.

I'm running test of endurance because I have it. The angel and sovering might be good inclusions later, but I don't intend to push this whole combo thing using cards like Vedalken Orrery or Aetherflux Reservoir... although Vedalkening out instant speed mutates might be nice also. Same goes for not running things like Second Sun, Crested Sunmare, or lifegain lifedrain effects. This is NOT a lifegain deck, its just we can take those handy auto-wincons and possibly squeak some games out. Smilaryl ont running pirson effects, because its not like we're "aiming" to preserve our healt. And we're not running gigantic HP swings either that reset our total, or are cards like Debt to Deathless/Exsanguinate. If I go donw that hole, I won't come out, and I don't want to focus my deck around that kind of mana ramp wincon. I want to win by amassing board states and running people over, simple as that.

Ideally, I'll just be filling this deck with cool creature cards that interact with Mutate in weird/effective ways, and I can smash some face :)

Also not running token deck synergy either. I'll be running cards that incenstivze going wide, possibly even Bitterblossom because flying is insane for snapdax, but running acrds like Anointend Procession gears the deck into too narrow of a strategy for a commander and theme (mutate) that doesnt inherentily DEPEND on tokens, just works well with it

ALSO, I'm not making this a voltron deck. Snapdax will mostly be coming down on his mutate cost as a 5cmc card with 3 power. Sure, he has double strike, but he has no inherent evasion, and he just seems too slow to strictly depend on commander damage. I plan to win by controlling peoples' threats by mutating snapdax once or twice each turn, drawing enough cards and generating enough value to keep this controlling position alive, then murder people with boards of creatures, or just out-attrition them with all the life i'll be gaining

Speaking of lifegain, all this might make me look like a public enemy in most games. So maybe rnunning Prison effects, or cards that incentivize attacking others (Strongly) I should consider more (like the CMDR 2017 cycel of fabio dudes)
