Swapped some Cards —June 30, 2018

Wall of Forgotten Pharaohs -> Consulate Skygate

2 colorless Mana drop but better with Reach.

Muddle the Mixture -> Mana Leak

Performance upgrade, not as situational as before.

Rolling Stones -> Wall of Kelp

Also a situational card on it's own swapped for a good supportive card.

I also edited the Primer and added some more text.

Bxbx Thank you for your suggestions. I haven't had the feeling that I may have too many lands on my hand, yet. But I will definitely pay more attention to this issue during my next games! I'm very torn because of Wall of Kelp. Like plasmor99 said. it isn't a bad card but it never brought me any value ehen I tested it. I'll probably give it some more chances.

Darkshadow327 Thank you for your suggestions. That's why I have Masako the Humorless in the Deck. She gives great value for her cmc and also has flash. I've removed Oathsworn Giant from the list due to his high cmc but he will probably make a return some day. Also maye one of the enchantments you suggested. Dazzling Ramparts is also not in here because of it's high cmc, but I'll add it to suggestions. Bant Charm is a great card as you mentioned it and I would also advise it to everybody, but we agreed to not use cards like this who put Commander on the bottom of our Decks in our playgroup. I'll add it to the primer though.

manticoreknightThank you for your suggestions. I haven't been in the situation where I couldn't have countered a critical boardwipe. But I will keep your cards in mind!

goblinguiderevealplsThank you for your suggestions. There aren't many flying creatures in my playgroup, that's why I didn't add Spidersilk Armor and rely only on the defenders with flying. I don't use normal "tribal" cards like Urza's Incubator, Kindred Discovery or Herald’s Horn because only around half the creatures with defender are Walls. I wouldn't get that much out of the cards, being mostly a semi-dead card. As you are darwing a lot of cards and due to the low mana costs of defenders and the other cards in general, I renounced of the mana artifacts since I never had a lot of trouble. But I'll add Sylvan Caryatid to the primer under the "Fast Mana Base" tab, since I overlooked her and it's a great suggestion.

Excellent deck my dude. The only substitutions I'd suggest is Wave of Reckoning with Dusk // Dawn. It's a cheaper but a different kind of boardwipe that can work as a recursion as well (but not as good at wiping little token guys). Even cheaper boardwipe you could consider is Retribution of the Meek or Slaughter the Strong since your ramp is low (which is okay, since your cmc is low). I'm also not sure about Rolling Stones since walls don't really need to attack with Doran-esque effect on board already. I'd just replace with Cyclonic Rift lol

bagelheart Thank you for your comment! I have chosen Wave of Reckoning over Dusk / Dawn because I face a lot of decks with 1/1 and 2/2 tokens. Rolling Stones is here as a Plan B when the Commander gets too much hate, together with Assault Formation. I know it's somewhat janky

Have you thought about adding Pang Tong, "Young Phoenix" to this deck. I just love P3K cards and I like to jam them in when I can

Wouldn't Freed from the Real be an incredible addition in order to produce unlimited mana with Axebane Guardian? I've been toying with building such deck as this as well, and the idea of loads of mana seems cool if you can find some outs

Mornignman Pang Tong, "Young Phoenix" targets only one creature, therefore it would fit better in a Voltron Deck. But if you like it you should play it!

Annexus Freed from the Real is already mentioned in the "Other Cards" Tab in the primer, together with two other cards which do the same. Thanks for mentioning though!

I have a question as to your include of Wall of Forgotten Pharaohs, since you happen to be running no Deserts to turn on it's ping ability

AlphaAuthority Thank you for your suggestions. Isochron Scepter would be a good addition. I have yet to playtest more and see what to take out for it. I mentioned Aura Shards in the "Other Cards" Tab as a good addition. I have to see how my meta evolves and if I will finally add it to the deck. Hornet Nest and Kaijin of the Vanishing Touch are too slow in my opinion and I would rather attack than block and would not get that much value/ it's very situational in my opinion. Shield Sphere and Stalwart Shield-Bearers are already in the deck. I think Thing in the Ice  Flip is a great card but you can't control the flip very well. If I'd be in a situation to decide wether or not to counter a spell that's threatening the boardstate just because I would transform Thing in the Ice  Flip that would be awful. 1W for Wall of Hope is not bad but I have better 1-drops with better effects than getting a bit life. Lurking Predators is too expensive cmc-wise and Mother of Runes can be good but I don't know yet what to scrap for her.

Zacheria10 You don't need the ability, Wall of Forgotten Pharaohs is a "4/4" for two colorless mana and you don't need mana-fix and can play it very early.

Hey there! I totally missed that bit, must've replied without seeing that one. On that note: in EDH, the so called 'tuck rule' isn't actually a thing anymore, there's been a rule change for this, so that commanders can be placed in the command zone by the owner of that commander. Bant Charm thus lost that unfortunately. Anyhow, keep up the updates, looking forward to seeing more :)

PhineasMTGMaster Due to the low average cmc I haven't misses any mana rocks yet. Card draw from Arcades also helps a lot.
